Their war history of invasions to many countries were plenty. The French wanted to invade and conquer China in the 1870s. Chinese put up resistance and won. Then French has to lanlan settle for Hanoi.

In an invasion, hundreds of thousands of the Chinese human died means nothing to them in China. Today, they grieved over a few death in their home soil.
