Need your opinion about a story I heard of a PRC girl married to Singapore man.

She is married with her Singapore hubby for 6 years. The HDB they stayed in didn't have her name. Her beauty business is registered under her hubby's name. He refused to transfer the business to her though she is the one running the business. He also disallowed her to apply for Singapore citizenship. What do you guys think the hubby's real intention is?
