[Bahrain, Middle East] - A 28 yr old Filipino maid has been rescued by the Philippine embassy after she posting a tearful Facebook video crying that she had been repeatedly raped and beaten by her rich employer's son for months (note : this is sadly a far too common but mostly unreported ongoing atrocity in oil-rich Middle East countries against foreign female domestic workers), and he even threatened to murder her and dump her body in the Bahrain desert if she ever told anyone. Thanks to social media (in this case, Facebook), she is now safely in the Philippine embassy, but there is no guarantee the rich man's son will be successfully convicted for his rape.
