The Indonesian Military (TNI) explained that the plane had been flying illegally in Indonesian airspace. Three Singaporeans were on board the aircraft and they are currently being questioned. It is understood that Tan Chin Kia had been flying the plane with two students, M Z Heng Chia and Bo Hong on board. They had flown through Indonesian airspace initially at 11:15am Singapore time from the southern area of Singapore but TNI did not intercept them as they quickly entered Malaysian airspace shortly afterward. However, on the plane’s return journey, TNI sent fighter jets to intercept the aircraft as it came into Indonesian airspace once again at about 2pm Singapore time. TNI explained that the aircraft had entered their airspace at 20,000 feet and 250 to 350 knots per hour. The plane was a Beechcraft 9L with registration VH-PKF. It is believed to be a plane used for training Click here to view the whole thread at www.sammyboy.com. |
