5 men charged with having sex with a 15-year-old student
An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
A TELCO advertising director and a Mexican IT consultant were the latest to be charged yesterday with having sex with a 15-year-old student - taking the number of men charged to five. Kwek Chuan Shan, 35, who resigned earlier this week from StarHub, is accused of committing seven sexual offences with the girl at a flat in Redhill Close in November last year. He is represented by Mr Amarjit Singh Sidhu who successfully applied for the case to be adjourned until Nov 20. Ramos Lobaton Alan, 26, was also charged yesterday. The Mexican is accused of 12 counts of sexual penetration of the girl at a flat in Ang Mo Kio between October and November last year. Ramos, represented by lawyer Diana Ngiam, is released on $20,000 bail. A pre-trial conference will be held on Nov 25. The other three men - Ngo Choon Seng, 28, Chee Wei Tong, 24, and Malaysian Jared Chan Yee Mun, 32 - were charged last week. On Tuesday, District Judge Low Wee Ping rejected Chan's application for permission to leave for Australia where he lives and owns a restaurant. The Malaysian, who was arrested while in transit at Changi airport, faces two charges of sexual offences and one of committing an indecent act with the girl at a Changi hotel on Oct 5 last year. Ngo faces two charges over incidents which allegedly took place in a car at a multi-storey carpark last October. Both men's cases will be mentioned on Dec 3. Chee, a customer service officer, faces a total of 10 charges including fellatio and penetrating her with a vibrator. The alleged offences took place at a Jurong flat and a staircase landing in Punggol between August and early September last year. He will appear in court again on Nov 25.
