http://www.british-history.ac.uk/rep...x?compid=35755 DIE Mercurii, videlicet, 5 die Januarii. PRAYERS. A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Nathaniel Fynes: Message from the H. C. about the King's coming to their House, to demand some Members. "1. To acquaint their Lordships, that Yesterday the King came to the Door of the House of Commons with armed Men, and came into their House in Person when the House sat, and demanded some of their Members, which they conceive is a high and great Breach of the Privileges of Parliament; therefore they thought it fit to give their Lordships Notice of it, as a Breach of Privilege, for it may concern this House likewise. They desire a Guard for the Parliament. "2. The House of Commons renews their former Desire to their Lordships, to join with them to petition His Majesty that the Parliament may (fn. *) have such Guards for to secure them, as shall be approved of by the King and both Houses of Parliament. Two of their Committees adjourned to Guildhall, London. "3. The House of Commons do let their Lordships know, That they have appointed a Committee to sit at Guildhall, in London, and have also appointed the Committee for the Irish Affairs to meet there." Hereupon it was Ordered, That the Lords Committees for the Irish Affairs shall meet in this House when the House rises, and shall have Power to adjourn themselves from Time to Time, and from Place to Place, as they shall see Cause. The Answer returned to the Messengers of the House of Commons was: Answer to the H. C. That, touching the renewing of the Petition for Guards, their Lordships have already sent to the King about it; and the King's Answer is, "That He will send an Answer speedily;" but their Lordships will renew it again. Search for Precedents about Accusations. Ordered, That the Committees appointed to consider of the Accusation of Mr. Attorney General against the Members of both Houses, shall meet Tomorrow, and consider of Precedents, and report the same to this House. Records sent for. Ordered, That all Capital Proceedings in Parliament from 4 E. III. unto 19 E. IV. as also the Close Roll concerning the Earl of Kent's Case, Anno 4 E. III. shall be brought before the Lords Committees in this House, on Friday next, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon. Further Day given to the Bishops impeached. Whereas the Twelve Bishops, impeached of High Treason by the House of Commons, were to have put in their Answers into this House unto the said Impeachment on the 7th of this Instant January, by Order dated the 30th of December last; it is now Ordered, That the said Lords Bishops shall put in their said Answers on Wednesday the 12th of this Instant January, and not before; and hereof they are not to fail, but to take Notice and perform it accordingly. Bailifwick of Surrey in Windsor Forest. Whereas the House was this Day informed, "That Commissioners touching the Bailifwick of Surrey are to meet on Thursday the Sixth Day of January Instant, or some Time after, to enquire of, and find out, the Bounds of the Bailifwick of Surrey in His Majesty's Forest of Windsor, as they were used and taken, in the 20th Year of King James;" and it was likewise informed, "That some Question hath been made, whether the Enquiry what the Bounds of the said Bailifwick are in Right, as well what and how the same were used in the said 20th Year, this House hath now in Consideration, and it is intended, that some speedy Declaration will be made by the Parliament of and concerning the same, and the In tention of the said Statute:" Whereupon it is thought fit, and so Ordered, by the Lords in Parliament, That the said Commissioners shall, at their said Meeting, adjourn, without any further Proceeding, unto some Day that the said Commissioners shall think fit, after the Ninth Day of February next: and it is further Ordered, That, between this and the said Meeting, His Majesty shall receive no Prejudice, touching or any Ways concerning the said Forest and the Bounds thereof, nor in His Majesty's Deer in the said Forest, or belonging unto the same; and that public Declaration be made hereof in all such Places, and to all such Persons, to whom this Business doth appertain, or hath Relation unto.
