Ex-Japanese porn actress found dead at home

Japanese artiste, also ex-pornography actress, Ai Iijima was discovered dead on Christmas Eve afternoon in her home bathroom. She was 36 years old.

According to Japan media reports, though police has eliminated it to be a case of homicide and suspect it to be natural death or suicide, they are unable to provide the actual reason of death until the post mortem is out.

Iijima was a famous AV model before she became a normal artiste. In March 2007, she revealed to have contracted hay fever, backache, kidney failure and inflammation of the urinary bladder, etc and thus decided to retire from the entertainment business.

On 24 Feb, 2008, a blog post Iijima wrote reveal that she had contracted gastric problems and was taking anti-depression pills. Depressing content flooded her blog and on Nov 30, she wrote that she "often felt lonely".

Iijima accumulated much popularity with her G-strong image. Her autobiography "Platonic Sex" published in 2000 to kick start her AIDS awareness campaign, described her younger days as a porn actress and experience with AIDS and plastic surgery. The book was such a hot seller, movie and television serial were also produced as part of the campaign.

A waste indeed. She went into the trade to spite her parents who did not treat her with love and understanding during her childhood. A good lesson to those similar kind of parents, if they do learn from it.

At age 36, the time she died, she looked haggard. Must have had a hard life. Pity.....pity.
