Singaporeans Fighting Back - Foreigners brought back in control
An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
Where our PM, his government and our prostitute press has failed the alternate media has stepped in once again. Its is clear that we have reached the end of our tether, getting sick of stepped on and trampled by foreigners. We also have gone pass the stage where labels such as xenophobia and racism is like water running down a duck's back. Anton Casey, the 2 cycle incidents, and no Mark Franklin affair all came to light with netizens filling the gaps on information and identifying the culprits. Followed by the alternate media writing to their bosses for an explanation. Couple of observations on this issue 1) As someone said in another thread, foreigners will not resort to this kind of conduct in our neighbouring countries. They will not even think of it. Which then reflects badly on us and our Government. 2) This government and their ability to suck the foreign dick is absolutely disgraceful. This has got to stop. The govt and the courts have to play fair. 3) The Toa Payoh Prostitute Press and Warren Fernandez must bow in shame. They had the resources and the obligation to pursue this but chose to take a bak seat. If this does not call for journalism what does then? Is this not news or interest to Singaporeans. The Brompton case is already a blackmark. Lets see some redemption and remorse. 4) Vincent W, Alex and many of the NGOs must now take a stand. Its obvious there their respective circles of friends include foreigners. This is nothing new and it is pretty much the same in gay communities in modern cities. The sense of discrimination draws the community together no matter what the nationality is. It does not have to be a zero sum game. Taking potshots at GMS while on the Hong Lim Park soapbox was not at all kosher. In a battle you have to chose sides. If you do not want to play, then don't throw stones. GMS and Gilbert might not be sophisticated or well groomed by your standards but they are clearly on the right side. We are still operating on the bicycle thief as an MP zone as little has changed.
