Tony Tan: S'pore has prestigious Military Award woh, don't pray pray. What a clown!!
An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
I mean the Victoria Cross is a prestigious military award, as is the US Medal of Honour, and other such similar awards given out by France, Germany, such as the Croix de Guerre and Iron Cross. But the Meritorious Service Medal is a prestigious military award? hahahahahhahahaha! what a fucking joke. bargain hen and Tony the chinese waitress look like idiots describing this as a prestigious military award. Unlike them, the Aussie rear admiral knows what a real prestigious military award is. How can a country that have never fought a war or even a skirmish have a "prestigious" military award. The PAP is really number one in creating all sorts of medals and awards for themselves but in the real world, real professional military men know what a prestigious military award is, and this ain't it. This Aussie VADM looks embarassed to be getting it, as he should. Someone forgot to tell Tony and Hen that prestigious military medals should be award for valor in combat and not for "forging closer ties". LOL SINGAPORE: The Chief of Navy of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Vice-Admiral (VADM) Ray Griggs, was conferred Singapore's prestigious military award, the Meritorious Service Medal (military), by President Tony Tan Keng Yam. Minister for Defence Ng Eng Hen presented the award to VADM Griggs at the Ministry of Defence on Thursday. Mindef said in a statement that VADM Griggs is honoured for his significant contributions to forging closer ties between the RAN and the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). VADM Griggs promoted closer cooperation between both navies in bilateral and multilateral exercises, including Exercise Singaroo, Exercise Kadaku, Exercise Pacific Reach, and exercises under the ambit of the Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA), the statement added. VADM Griggs has also been "instrumental in enhancing bilateral cooperation" between the two navies in the areas of counter-piracy and submarine rescue, and had co-signed the bilateral arrangement for submarine rescue support and co-operation with Chief of Navy Rear-Admiral Ng Chee Peng in 2013. Mindef said this close cooperation has strengthened the professional rapport and camaraderie between the personnel of both navies. VADM Griggs, who is in Singapore from May 14 to 17, had earlier called on Dr Ng and RADM Ng before the investiture. He also inspected a Guard-of-Honour contingent at the Ministry of Defence on Wednesday morning. Click here to view the whole thread at www.sammyboy.com. |
