Advice regarding referral letter mishap

Hi All, recently been to a polyclinic for urinary issue and during discussion I mentioned about having sex with sex workers last year. Now I didn’t know the doctor will write that in the referral letter that she gave for urologist specialist. It was in an envelope and I took it home. Stupid me didn’t open the letter at all else won’t have taken it home.. Before me knowing what’s written in it, my wife opened it and was shocked to know about me visiting sex worker. It has caused a huge issue and she is crying/fighting with me on this. For now i have told her that doctor heard it wrongly and put that line about visiting sex workers. It was a printing mistake is what I said. She now insists me going to same doctor in polyclinic and take her along with me and confirm with doctor that the referral was having printing mistake and I didn’t visit any sex worker. I obviously love my wife very much and the family and can’t see it break.. could you all suggest what should I do? Do doctors here have audio or video recording of in person consultations? Will the doctor admit to the printing mistake and can they amend the referral letter? If i don’t take my wife along in polyclinic, can i record my conversation with doctor(as wife insists that if i don’t take her along she needs proof that it was a printing mistake only).

I believe a lie in this case is justified because 1) I have stopped visiting sex workers since last year, 2) i love my family very much and can’t get this thing impact the kids (they saw us fighting already on this on weekend)

Thanks for suggestions

Let Uncle 69 teach you.
A lie needs to be covered by lots of lies.
Tell her upfront you went to find sex from sex workers last year and save all the troubles.
Anyway, the doctors won't lie for you. HAHAHA.

Or do you prefer the whole hospital to know you went to call prostitutes when your wife makes a big fuss? HAHAHA.

This solution is so simple. I am really puzzled why simple minded fucks can't solve it. HAHAHA.

Re: Advice regarding referral letter mishap

Unlikely the doctor will 'admit' it was a mistake as can open up a complaint towards her.
You can record conversation, but with consent of parties involved.
No, the clinic will not have audio recordings as medical consultations are private.

If the doctor is willing to play along with you there was a 'mistake', then you lucky.

You sound like you are in a really bad place, good luck to you.

Yes, doctor will not lie for u.

If u cannot be sure you visited any sex workers, u can consider telling the doctor that you said wrongly and would like him to help re-write / remove the sentence in letter and apologise for the trouble lor.

Thanks mate for the advice and good wish. It’s comforting to know that doctors don’t have audio or video recordings. As wife initially insisted on getting recording of my conversation with the doctor.

Thanks for the reply. It’s not so easy mate. Wife is very possessive and a bit immature to let go of this mistake for once. And I can’t let family break because of this. So want to try anything possible..

Re: Advice regarding referral letter mishap

polyclinic basically no way lah. polyclinic is like NS for doctors.
if your doc foreigner - 0% chance.
if your doc female - 0% chance.
If your doc is singaporean male then maybe 1% chance.

you should do these steps immediately
1. book DSC or private STD tests immediately. This is to allay your wife. (but if this shows up positive, you're fucked). have a chat with the doctor to see if you wanna do HSV 1. The doc will know why you ask that.

2. Tell her the timeline and process of exactly how you visited the fl. how transactional it was. how fast it took. this is to allay her emotions. as best as you can, impress upon her this is a service like eating mac. fast game, no emotions.

3. prepare a good story of why you even need to visit fl in the first place. be honest about the problems you two have.

4. prepare all the spare cash you have. you are going to "buy" your way back.

Since you've been busted already maybe the answer is go all in and gaslight the wife. Say if she wasn't such an inattentive wife you wouldn't be visiting chicken. Then say you love the family most but you can't keep living in a sexless marriage. Ask her reflect.

Just say you told the doctor you visited chicken last time and not last year...the doctor either heard wrongly and got tue timeline wrongly...you can admit you visit chicken but that was long ago...

Re: Advice regarding referral letter mishap

I suggest telling the doctor exactly what happened(between you and your wife) and see if the doctor has any suggestions to help you out, after all the doctor may know ways around the system.
If the doctor doesn't have any suggestion, try for communication misunderstanding.

Re: Advice regarding referral letter mishap

FWIW, my SO is a medico and she says the following:

1. Speak to the poly doctor and explain that your wife opened the referral without your consent or knowledge and read the contents.

2. She is now upset and threatening taking action against you for your visiting a CSW.

3. Admit what you did was wrong and you've stopped but ask for some consideration to assist you to prevent your family from breaking up.

4. Ask if the doctor can amend the referral to indicate you "visited a CSW in the past".

5. This way your doctor is not lying (the doc WILL NOT lie under ANY circumstance for you) and is not putting themselves in a position of liability for "mishearing" or "making a mistake" in the referral. They are not going to screw themselves to save you...

6. You can then tell your wife you went to CSWs before you met her. before you got married or whenever you think works best to save yourself.

Be open and honest with the doc and there is a likelihood the doc may be ok to assist within reason. Just don’t suggest they "take the blame" for anything.

Good lock!

Re: Advice regarding referral letter mishap

This is very interesting so I took the trouble to ask my doctor friend. Summary below.

1. The doctor will not lie for you. Think about it bro, it's his/her job on the line.

2. If the doctor is a guy, and if you are lucky, a local guy, he might understand your situation and propose solutions for you. But he will never lie for you. See 1.

3. It is unlikely that he will amend his referral letter, as the letter was generated based on your consultation report (the one which the doctor type type type when you were explaining your issue).

4. There is no like listen wrongly or type wrongly or print wrongly those kind of stuff. Cuz he/she wrote the same thing in your consultation report. Again, it's his/her job on the line bro, if he amends the referral letter for you, means he admits to making a mistake during consultation, which might have serious repercussions for him/her.

My friend's advice to you: Tell the doctor exactly what happened and see how it goes. Never tell the doctor to lie for you cuz that's like challenging his professionalism.
