Ya man, DNAT.... pity those ppl in the hospitality, entertainment and transport biz.

However, I hope that when the casinos reopened, tourists like us who spend good money there will be appreciated more and receive better service.

Called Batam this morning..still no news ...sooner or later..the police will suffer..no money for them..they will get desperate and reduce the amount they are asking for....

Heard that the No.2 Man is asking for 7 billion Rupiahs. And no guarantee it is a offical license as well. That is some time back. This Yusuf Kalla fucker is having a good time seeing the chinese in batam having no job.

Pretty soon he will lose his job as well, if the 30% hike in oil takes a bad turn on the economy. As usual, people will protest and we will see. Hope he does not become the president.

Police Raid Casino Closed
Batam Tourists Decined
Batam casinos closed with no date fixed for re-opening

Batam Police spokeman says the case(s) is still pending for Court proceedings. Some accusations against the casino operater is under investigations. If convicted, operator will face fine of Rupiahs 80 000 000 (equiv. S$14,000).

Due to the closure of casino, ferry services between Sg and Waterfront has been reduced by half. Previously, more than 200 Sinkapolians arrive at waterfront each day.
