i actually pity this boy...why? becoz even before being found guilty, the media has already punished him regardless.... imagine how this is going to impact his life if he is indeed innocent...remember, he is only the accused, not convicted...

thats the stupid singapore law.... we are punishing someone not remembering or honouring the fact that he is innocent until proven guilty....

btw, if the guy has intention to rape her, i dun think he would want to bring her to his own flat?

anyway, i will share a real story in later post...just need to recollect some thoughts.... well, scary thoughts...

Anyway..My view on this case: The gal is not sober when she followed the guy home. She is likely afraid (of getting rape), that's why she consented to sex. This will save her from getting badly abused in case the guy who is high on alcohol turn rough. Protecting herself in a way?

the guy looks quite decent, abit pitiful...but we are nobody to judge who's right or wrong, just that maybe next time pick up girls from clubs must prepare an agreement form first to play safe...but then the girl can always say she signed to agreement form under the influence of alcohol, LPPL for guys

actually maybe the girl is just high on alcohol then call friend and mother. But actually quite horny. Of course she cannot tell mother horny. so she cook up excuse say the guy wanna rape her. Mother and friend know already, she lppl have to insist on her side of the story. anyway sounds like this is not the first time she followed a guy home. How can one who knows dirty dancing and clubs and follows a guy home be innocent?

i am not condoning rapes. Anyway it really does not matter what actually happened. it is not even a 50-50 thing, the guy sure get jialatz jialatz. Not rape because there is no forced penetration and no injuries from the lack of medical reports. But coercion is just as bad and amounts to the same thing also I think. Think as long as the girl says so , the guy is screwed.

I get this uncomfortable feeling, but won't say it is definite, that this sounds like another case of a woman feeling regretful about her actions, changing her mind and crying "rape". Believe it or not, it also happens here in Australia even though it is generally perceived to be more sexually liberated.

This is one reason why many men are afraid of hooking up women in bars/clubs.

I think another forum member described it correctly, that if a woman wants to play the field among men, she should be mentally/psychologically prepared to "get knocked". I mean, women should not go on the football field to play football if they are not prepared to fall down in the mud and get bruised.

Just be careful when you chiong... The law will always be protecting the
woman. Woman charter damn strong in SG. From the way, the so called
"victim" is spare from exposure, you will know...
This is gonna be a gone case for the guy, the judge is a lady...

We do not know the full picture of the story, but the "victim" has flirted
with fire and got burnt this time round...

I'm disgusted on how the law protect the woman this time... I do not
label her as victim, just some rich kid who finally learns the consequence
for her actions... You do not fluant your close body contact dancing skill
unless you want to do something notti or expect to be touched, etc.

There should always be a limit... Never let new known friends bring you
home when you are in a drunk state... Poor guy... His future is gone...

Just heard from my friend that this boy is a nephew of his friend and the lawyers said his is a winning case as firstly, the gal willingly go with the guy to his house. Secondly, the taxi driver saw the both of them kissing passionately in the cab. These 2 are very strong supporting points for the boy.

Actually it was not the gal who cried rape but rather her mother who made the police report. Hope he can be free and learn a lession after this not to engage with strangers too easily.
