i did bought 5 liang of the gold....but after comparison,i still find that dividends for getting interest from banks is better.but nobody knows how long the high interest rate will go on.

Although VND deposits give high returns, but the Exchange Rate risks involved is way too high. When you exchange any foreign currency to VND, you pay an exchange rate difference of 3% to 5% and when you exchange it back to your own currency after VND deposit maturity, you suffer another exchange rate difference. Things get worse if VND depreciates against major currencies and it VND is expected to depreciate again this Financial Year. So 14% interest is high if you have spare VND and need not convert it back to other currencies for the long term and you use it in Vietnam only. In the long term, the probability of VND depreciating against major currencies is still very high, so the 14% returns do not cover your potential loss.

Majority of the villagers can only borrow from loan sharks as they do not have anything for collateral for bank loan. So S$200 a month may just be very true.

what would happen if she fails to repay them? the new house she bought costs around S$10k. this has been fully paid up. she borrow for doing renovations.

maybe she have to sell the new house and move back to old house??? then the debt would be cleared and she have S$3k cash in hand. is this possible?

it really depends on whom she borrow the money from.

for ur wife case,her interest is abt 3% per mth.i think she probably pawn her house to someone or a pawnshop.and at 3% per mth,it is very reasonable.

a piece of advice to u....in order for u to have a blissful marriage,i encourage u to go learn some simple Vietnamese and go find out more abt Vietnamese culture.marrying a Vietnamese gal is easy,but to maintain the marriage is not easy.

i do really hope that ur postings in future is mostly abt jovial things and blissful marriage.i think thats what other bros here also would like to see.

Amazing info here actually, not just love, sex, but biz info as well. Very useful thread for those nobbies who wish to find out more about Vietnam thru the sharing of experience from other bros...

Quite a few bros already tell him tat. Did he listen? Is up to him. We will have to see.

For me, b4 i marry my wife i go learn at least some basic vietnamese n spend some time reading about vietnam, its history, its culture, its people in the internet. If not sure, ask my wife, then gf.

Its all about how u view yur other partner: as yur life long partner whom u share yur happiness n woes or as just a fuck n child bearing machine.
I didnt marry my wife so tat i have someone to wash my clothes, clean the house, a channel to let go of my fustrations n satisfy my sexual needs or my parents needs to hug grandchildren. They are also human beings need care n concern n respect.

I admit i married not long but this is wat i think. Hope haojian start doing some homework n like volcano said when u next post we hoped to hear good stuffs.
