*i understand this type of question,no one would be able give me an exact definite answer (unless they work for the immigration,hehehe...),so no obligation to reply.

I asked the question beside just being curious,partly becos i was also puzzled by a case whereby a friend who was pull-over by the immigration when he was about to leave Batam on the last ferry and has to fork out some money or else he will have to continue to stay in Batam for that night. Go to the Singapore Consulate the next day at Batam Center and do up all the proper document before he is allow to leave Batam....again (the ferry ticket will also be forfeited).

* my friend end up paying becos he doesnt want to drag the whole incident on. He speaks Bahasa/Malay.

Lesson learned on his trip, make sure my passport at least more than 6 months via expiring,otherwise dont go Batam.

that's right bro,why take the risk.I have a frd left with abt 5 mths to expiry I also asked him to renew before going.Do not want to have problem.

2018 is really an unfortunate year for indonesia.

For the past few months, so many unfortunate event happened in indonesia:
1) 21 Feb 2018 - a landslide in Pasirpanjang, Brebes, Central Java
2) 5 Aug 2018 - Earthquake in Lombok (beside Bali)
3) 28 Sep 2018 - Large earthquake caused a tsunami at Palu, Sulawesi
4) 29 Oct 2018 - Lion Air Flight 610 accident
5) 22 Dec 2018 - Eruption of volcano and underwater landslides caused the Sunda Strait tsunami. (Happened just 2 days ago)

From the past history, disaster had striked Java, Sumatra, Bali/Lombok and Sulawesi, hopefully the riau islands (batam,bintan,balai,batu) is safe to travel...

Hello all bros, i have been reading about all these great places to chiong in batam, but unfortunately i am but one solo guy.

I am planning to go next month Jan, and would like to enquire if any experienced bros would like to chiong together.

If any bros dont mind showing me the way, it would be much appreciated.
In return i am able to get rooms at radisson for 70sgd nett a night with breakfast for 2. (I am not sure how good a deal this is but it is the only thing i can think of.)

Can't help you here as I hadn't been to Batam for the past half year nor going in the near future, but you don't want to stay at Radisson if you're in Batam to chiong. Too far from the main chiong area in Nagoya.

Pay for her air ticket to come to Batam from where she lives.

Different parts of the years,Indonesia in-bound 2 way air tickets were priced differently ranging from 1.44 juta to 2.1 juta (eg, Citylink, Lionair etc). In months where air ticket is higher than 1.8 juta,i skip,hehehe...

This way,she still get to see her child few days later,you get what you are looking for exclusively, she earns some extra income to provide for family. One stone kills many many birds,hehehe...

Round up all your best girls; which is why i often share about the not putting all apples in basket. One ex-best girl from each booking joint which i have bonked before,come to Batam from hometown. Actually no need to have one good girl from each joint,just 1/3 of the total will keep me very very busy,hehehe...

No hassle,wont runaway, in control and more importantly, it would be nearly "exclusively" mine,hehehe...oh,the best part is ,price is tagged at 2 to 3 years ago booking pricing (cat 600k to 800k) and wont increase over the years to come unless i choose to give more. People who pay those high price, they probably have more choices in other parts of the world ,which might likely render better services.

Hehehe...true,true...they wont so directly ask for money nowaday. They will "signal" you instead.

I am a stingy person (sometime a bit kiasu too),hehehe...not a risk taker either, so i arent gonna try getting through Batam immigration with a close-to-6-months expiring passport too.
