As we all know that eating one is quite a fear factor challenge for the uninitiated and it is pretty rare to find a place that sells and cooks snake in Malaysia. Snake has long been a source of meat since ancient China and across the world. Fyi the meat is commonly eaten in the Southwest America and popular recipes include rattlesnake chili and barbecued snake meat. Other cultures generally eat their own, locally found snakes. Snakes are considered medicinal in Chinese lore, as a "warming" food, and almost every part of the snake is respected and consumed. The skin is dried and used as medicine but in powder form. Snake wine is made with the meat as is distilled high proof liquor. One way these are made is to put venomous snake or two into either a wine or liquor and leave it soak there for a long period of time, long measured in years when one wants the best medicinal value. There is a popular alcoholic beverage called Dragon and Phoenix Wine.
