there is no way to expediate her PR application. ICA approval for your wife PR depends largely on you i.e. your job stability, pay, educational level etc. ICA will also not approve her PR just because she's going to give Singapore another baby. Many are with the idea that PR will surely get approved if give birth, this is wrong and surely untrue.
My wife has her LTSVP approved in Feburary 2011. Later in June i applied PR for her (first time). Recently, I received ICA letter , saying her application is rejected.
Now my wife is three months pregreant , so all the doctors consultations, medicines, and giving birth next year here in singapore is costing me a bomb.
She cannot receive subsided rate ( pay foreigner rates), quite siong $$ for me..
how shall i expendidte her PR status from here now? Is there any alternative ways to plead with ICA?

if u apply in june and got reject on october,u can forget about applying within this 1 or 2 years,they are damm strict on giving out pr status nowadays
my friend wait for 1 year to get a rejection letter,u really have to come out the money to let her give birth in hospital cos she is a foreigner and not subsidise so choose a private hospital cos is almost the same cost as govertment one.my friend who marry a prc but on ltvp give birth and cost him 4 to 5k,double compare to sg or pr.
sorry to say that but i think u no need to go experdiate her PR application cos they wont just give because u have a sg baby coming out soon.

If u want to save on the cost of giving birth here,can go back vietnam to give birth.
Bro shysaint wife give birth there so he might be able to help,i guess he do the right thing by getting a LTVP for her wife first and wait until maybe few years later than apply for her PR.Is a smart move cos by then,chances maybe higher cos they already control or reduce the foreign population here and those foreign wife who stay here for maybe few years already and have a sg baby stand a higher chance

There is still alot of woman doesnt mind a man with kids and there is alot of man doesn't mind woman married before . It year 2011 and soon 2012 , don't keep staying in the 80s

if your wife cant get pr status before giving birth. i suggest you register at kk and get govt gynie. at least you can get singaporean subsidy for your child when he/she is born.

my wife gave birth while on ltvp also.... have also applied PR for her while she was pregnant but unsuccessful...
now my little OC is going to be 1 year old next mth...will submit again...
as for medical bills... u can use the medisave to pay for the giving birth part...but not the consultation fees during the pregnancy...
and baby bonus can be used to pay for your newborn's consultation as well..so dun worry too much for later...
