For Loy Krathong 17/11 weekend, domestic flights Bkk/CNX are now either full or ridiculously expensive.

Tiger new flights ex Sg not cheap either (not flying day after on mon 18/11). In KL on working trip, so doing AAsia direct on 16/11 and back 18/11 for princely sum myr1.4k. KL/Sg leg for only myr75 nett, allowing 2 hours overlay.

Hotels too, are mostly full at old city like Ramin Lodge, Centara and Amora. doing Grandview

Sugar beat chiang mai is at loi kroh soi 4.

Spicy at mike burger. Yup it's a pick up point for the farangs. Last 2 years ago a farang jio me to go to spicy to pickup girls after he failed to know my gf's friends at Fabrique.

Kns, loi kroh stretch gives me impression of too many massage hole in wall types ..plus the complex of course. Must skive to sugar beat sometime

I usually hangout (these days) at Moon Mueang stretch ..popular with backpackers and Asians too. Just across the moat, too close for comfort. Once I barely had 1 beer at spotlight agg... before radio silence broken, and had to double back from Tapae gate in double quick time. Before can ogle at dancers

555+ yup moon muang is infested with the backpackers. But more to farangs, so far I knew afew tourists from the PRC and from Taiwan. So tempting to ask their wechat ID especially the Taiwan mei mei. You should try the sugar beat, maybe our Pii BD can change his wind to sugar beat instead of Claudia.

IMO, just like any other koyoty clubs, in Bkk where nipples tape model and live band. I prefer the ktvs. more room for privacy.

Loy Krathong Festival for 2013 DELAYED !

The Tourism Authority of Thailand has postponed its annual Loy Krathong celebrations in honour of the late Supreme Patriarch.

TAT deputy governor for domestic marketing Thawatchai Arunyik said festive activities will be suspended because the country is in mourning.

The government has extended the mourning period to Nov 23. The festival falls on Nov 17 this year.

He said the TAT will discuss the Loy Krathong celebrations, which are usually organised in Bangkok and other major tourist destinations, when the mourning period is over.

He noted that the festival - celebrated annually on the full moon of the 12th lunar month - is one of the country's top tourist attractions.At night, people float decorated krathong (small, lotus-shaped vessels) on rivers, canals and ponds.
