Am in Tokyo at the moment. In general, compared to other parts of North Asia, picking up women in Tokyo/JP is pretty easy if you can speak a little Japanese. Some of the popular places one should give a shot are izakayas where you can just cozy up to groups of single women out for a drink on Fridays. japanese women are always up for a good time, and are generally open to going out in small groups together and meeting strangers, as compared to Chinese/TW women.

Always making sure one is well dressed in Japan always helps; and I find that Japanese women are less subjective and superfiical than Koreans or Taiwanese, and of course Chinese. Hit rate is higher if you speak well, carry yourself well and in general gentlemanly, irrespective of your skin color.

On a whole, it's more fun and social to be in truly cosmopolitan cities like Tokyo and HK, where the women are out for a fun time
