Don't afraid to use google translate although it's not 100% accurate. I'm using those apps in the handphone. If u don't know any word just use them to find out and increase your vocabulary.

Bun ngu is not misspelt. It's their way of shortcut by leaving out the letter O in some words.

Some words originated from Chinese words, some from Chinese dialects like Cantonese, Hainanese etc hence the term Chinese equivalent.
