Foreigner Wife!

Hi Bros here,

Just a share of my side of story. I've got married last year December with a RPC and before she is here as a singer under professional permit. We went to apply for her LTSVP at the end of December last year, but then i was so anxious in getting her LTSVP as we have intention of getting a flat which is a requirement from the HDB. We waited till March and still there isn't any news from ICA, and every 1 month we have to go down to extend. BTW i'm a bankruptcy so i guess it will take a long time or maybe reject by ICA.

Then we manage to get someone (which i pay him to help me,get what i mean?) to go upon dealing with the problem. Luckily that indeed ICA granted her LTSVP in mid of April . Then during the collection of her LTSVP, ICA also issue a letter stating that she is able to look for job but the company have to apply for her work permit and pay levy.

Shortly after, my wife found a job and get her work permit. At the end of May, we already submit her application for PR with the help of the guy who i pay for his service. Now already 3 months, so hope everything will turns out well.

So Bros out there, please don't give up any hope.

hmmm,i got ltsvp also,but ica never isuue any letter say that she can apply for job ler....

Should have one copy, stating the procedure of obtaining a working permit if she works.

I also didn't get any paper when collecting my wife's LTSVP few months back leh.

Anyway, already apply for PR for her liao .. lesson learnt is to bring all document (original & photo-copied) be it relavent or not cos the ICA officer want to see my Birth Cert (??) even when I am a "product of S'pore" ...

Keeping my fingers crossed now and hope for the best !!

Nothing wrong for them to ask for your Birth Cert, Citizenship even though you have the Blue ID or Pink ID. If you have original documents, be prepared to give them a duplicate copy to save time getting them a copy later.

what i heard from him,after rom,he got 1 yr ltsp,got pr on first application

Just to share my story

Married my wife in May 2007 and went for honeymoon, returned 2 weeks later and immediatelt when ti ICA to apply for LTSVP

Asked me to collect the pass the next day.

But when we went to collect in the morning, a health check form was given to us and as her to go for check up.

After the checkup and sumitted the form, in the morning , her green pass is issued two hours late.

My wife is a PRC and university educated, but no work .

Hope this gives some hope to others and now we are preparing to apply for PR.

My girl is from myammar,what is the procedure to bring her here to singapore and marry? Cos i know people from myammar need to apply for a visa to come here. and also does it cost a lot to have a myammar passport? Cos she told me to get a passport done is very expensive back there. Any brothers here can enlighten me on this issue?

Hi bro

It is really beri expensive to do their passport.U have to get ready Sgd5k or more.
For me i spend around SGD3k++ only for her passport.

whoa............ LTSVP on the spot approve..............dun have to wait 2 - 3 months for reply?????????????????

i JUST had my gf's passport done, same here, she's Shan, holding a burmese nationality.

Yesterday just applied for LTSVP for my Indonesian-Chinese wife.

Due to heavy traffic flow @ ICA ah, I couldn't get some queries answered so I hope to get some info here from experienced bros.

Let say if the LTSVP is approved, is it possible to travel out of S'pore for short holidays for my wife ?

Can, multi trips no problem jus produce the green card with passport at immigration checkpoint when leaving or returning. Passport wont be stamped as when you get LTSVP it will be stamped till expiry date (6months-1yr). In the event your LTSVP not approved (touchwood) then they might chop your wife passport for 1 month, in this scenerio then when your wife leave Singapore (even go JB half day) the 1 month granted will be void & when she return will up to their discrection to give you how long stay. Take note that if your LTSVP approve & your wife leave for home & stay away from SIN for long periods it may affect her PR application next time
