Thus we tried to enter to sillypore today (three days before the appt), but still cannot enter. As usual, no reason given, asked to call ICQ which we all know is meaningless..

My next move - skip 'seek MP's help' move, email straight to PMO for assistance, if still cannot then LL liao.

Thought of putting these points in the email:
- Of cos, deeply in love with each other and together for 3 years, flying to HCM once every 1 to 2 months. Now wish to register marriage in Singapore (cos i am singaporean but too bad consider middle class only, not White colour class).
- not planning to register marriage in Vietnam since not recognize by sillypore?
- Write in appeal to ICA is waste of paper and printer ink as they are very 'helpful' and 'strict'.
Appeals reject, reason Confidential.
- The ban period as advised was 1 year, now 3 years has passed, still cannot enter? is it ban for life?
- Ask ICQ's advice for ban period, also Top Secret level thingy, so my gf and i suppose to wait.. and wait... and wait?
- finally, hope AH GONG can help..

need to draft a swee swee email before sending out to PMO..
know that this might make thing turn worse for my case but no other straightforward choice i guess.

Sorry for ranting, cos abit dulan now as ROM thingy also affected and gf is now spending the nite at the bloody airport office.
ROM date cannot cancel. If date lapse, after 6 months then can book again!

ICA GOD? no they are just DOG, but is a DOG which i can't argue with.
LOL I sux... anyway why bother to talk sense or reason with a DOG.

bro,let me offer some advise to u,just to let u know that if u marry legally in vietnam,your vietnam marriage cert is recognise in singapore but not customary marriage (Pm me if u want to know more)

But that does not mean she can enter sg if she break the law before.U mention that she get caught working here 3 years before and was send back but not formally charge.Not formally charge does not mean she did not break the law.Imagine every time when they go catch those ppl and have to formally charge them,how much resource and time they have to waste to gather evidence and go court just for working illegal here so nowadays they just send them back and chop on their passport unless involve serious crime then dont say.

There must be certain reason why she was still ban entering sg after 3 years.Check with her if u want to cos she might try to re enter during this period but is up to u if u trust her.

Allow to book a ROM date does not mean she can enter sg.Everything lies on ICA.They have the final say.U can appeal through MP but chances quite slim since she broke the law before and after 3 years,she still been deny coming in means that maybe ICA know things more than u

I really pity u but i do suggest u find out from your girl first and appeal.

If u really want to marry her,u might consider marry there and bring her here.But marry there is very troublesome and also does not gurantee she can come in here,not because of your vietnam marriage cert but is her status with ICA

1 thing to take note is that NOT all cases of banned are lifted automatically after the banned period. The officer have the say based on the banned.

You should write in to request for her to comes in instead of thinkIng that her banned period is over therefore can comes in.

To u is ok .. But then to them is like u are trying to do something funny.


So now no choice got to appeal n appeal.

- her passport no other stamps except for the one deported by spore in Oct'07, then follow by trips to macau n hongkong with me.

Indeed,ROM here is easier compare to her country but if thats no other choice,u might as well ROM there.

Cant blame u to take matters too lightly cos is already past 3 years but in SG,always check what u suppose to do before u proceed.ICA will not give u a confirm answer but they will tell u what u suppose to do

did write in over the past one year to appeal once every 3 mths but all rejected, stopped cos saw a bro advice in sbf not to appeal if no new things to subtain the appeal.

last mth wrote in 1 last time with the successful notice of marriage attached. also rejected. that's y i did what i done.

appeal to ICA n MPs seem useless nowadays thus decide to send appeal to higher auth which is PMO. hopefully to let ICA know i am serious and not to reject without reviewing case?

like i mentioned, they reject everything then say everything is confidential. with their great help, i don't know where to proceed next. lol.

of cos in the end PMO might not even help but still have to give a try ya.

declared truthfully, ticked Prohibited entry to Spore before.
she told the counter and office officers that she indeed was caught for working 3 years ago. maybe too truthful liao? haha

now i think my gf die also don't want to enter spore without ICA approval.

That is the 'price' to pay for marrying a foreign spouse.Dont give up hope if u love her.I been through all this before and i know is quite fustrated some time.Apply,wait and get reject.

I use to blame them but nowadays i think they are just doing their job after sg ppl complaining too many foreigner here and bad news about foreign spouse here.

Just do what u suppose to do and most important is the love u all have for each other,only time will tell

sometime is hard to say,even if you dont declare truthfully,they might know from their system and might be more worse if they found out.Is always a 50 50 things
