At least during NS you have something to do to while away your time..... in prison it is farking boring. The main problem is how to pass the time..... you can go crazy staring at the 4 walls.

if you are called up by the police, you have the right to remain silent and insist to have a lawyer with you during questioning. this is assuming you had already notified a lawyer beforehand so she can come down to assist.

We live in Singapore not any other country, there is no right of an accused to a lawyer or right to silence here... Section 22 and 23, Criminal Procedure Code, Cap 68, one may infer from there that we do not have a right to silence as understood by most people or in other jurisdictions... Our court is allowed to infer guilt from the silence of the accussed...

And you are correct about the public policy aspect of such cases at present, the present policy seems to be that any such offences will definitely be prosecuted under s509, Penal Code Cap 224.

Today's many companies offer good jobs title to entice younger generation to take up non productive manual works.

Don't need to pity me. I actually enjoyed my short stint as an RT in NUH.

It's not considered a proper job at all... but since the government is throwing so much money into research programmes until the benificialries dun know how to use them so we were hired with nothing to do..... and pass our time washing test tubes.
