when u tell your friends the live band called Energy, damn power ... playing at top floor fire disco .... when u go marina south and find all become construction site and asks where is dragon HC and canto when u go forum galleria and look for Rumors disco... when u go esplanade wanna eat satay and saw a big durian ...n u say wah lan eh ...simi lan chiao lai eh ???

when you need to rest 10 days to recover for the next bonk; and excitedly style your hair in "brylcream", tie up your ponytail, put on your fav. "batik shirt" tucked into your "black baggy pants with white belt" (not forgetting the long comb in the back pocket), put on the "BM2000" sneakers without socks, and get into your "Datsun", driving into the petrol kiosk expecting $0.69/ltr petrol top-up before heading to Geylang looking to check into "New World" Hotel (all these while listening to "Boney M" on cassette), then adjourn to the nearest H81, decking out your reading glasses to search for a $10 note to book a room, at the same time frantically "paging" your $40-a-month allowance "mistress" to meet you there

When you walk up and down geylang at night thibking. NAHBEH!? where all the china fl are? They used to stand 1 whole fucking long line at the bak of geylang. Near fences. All are willing to pull you aside when you walk past them.
When you ask yourself at the counter of H81. Saying " nah Beh CHEEBYE. Why suddenly need 2 ic? CHEEBYE like that how! " When you ask around Eh where is canto rock?

When the only 2 'hot' spot was Pink Pussycat and GV at Orchard Road. Now's that's really, really old.
