Backyard farm is what I am referring to. Pork prices can fluctuate from P80+ to P130+ or even P150+. This i think is the problem, timing of sales.

Yes Chief, those are my lessons ten years ago - not now .. now even is somebody say borrow me phone - no thank miss, I buy you 40$ and return that - knowing fat chance of it coming back anyway .. haha ...

As promised, just a quick post on ICON. Went there last Wed night at 11.30pm as recommended by bro Sam. Got in and had the shock of my life cause I was the only one there. haha.. I thought to myself "what the f..". Never mind, left there and went to Spicy Fingers for some drinks and music. There, managed to hook up with some gals, not so pretty but it doesn't matter, cause only party mah.. At around 1.30 am, we decided to leave. The gals said they are going to another place to party and I asked where? They said ICON !! Hahaa... We reached there and it was packed.. The gals quality there are pretty decent and definately better than Havana, imho..I was told that the place remains open till 6 or 7 am. So if anyone needs a gal or a drink in the early morning, you may want to consider ICON.

I also made a trip to Roman suite, the massage place behind New World hotel. For anyone who is interested, it is located within a small hotel called One Roman Suites along the main street behind New world hotel. Go in the hotel, take the staircase and walk to the 3rd floor. There is a fish tank and you can choose. The price is P1200 for entrance free and another P1500 to the gal for any extras. When I was there, there were about 10 gals between grade 5.5 to 7. The room is decent but the hot water is almost non-existence. I would not recommend it if you are looking for high quality gal but if you have time to kill and don't want to spend too much, maybe this is the place for you. I think it closes at 5 am. I am planning to go to Manila for 3 nights. Plan to visit ESDA, Burgos and Quezon clubs.

Apprecaite if someone can tell me where I can stay so that all 3 places are equidistant from my hotel. Believe taxi travel times can kill from one end to another during peak hours or rainy days especially. So i wan to stay somewhere that makes all 3 places max 45 min taxi ride.

If there is a website that has affordable rooms, do point me to that as well.

Quezon city quite far man. But for Burgo and EDSA, staying in Makati around Greenbelt area is pretty close enough.

For me, I normally camp around Malate area near to Robinson Mall. Can whack both EDSA and the pubs in Malate.

I was going to say Malacanang Palace

Well, Makati is comparitively safer, though you get an occasional shooting - compared to malate where it is a bit more ... and makati is devoid of beggers and street children, though P Burgos is sort of out of makati...

And my favorite for Malate is Riviera Mansin at Mabini Street - just walking distance to Robinsons Malate and MBC ..

I am a newbie and coming over to Manila this week. Tried to scan thru all the info from page 1 to the last page but i have some doubts. This is my first time coming over and thus I am not familiar with the names of the roads and cities.

I will be staying in EDSA Shangri La hotel. No choice as booked by company. I believe it is at Pasig city, near Ortigas Ave.

1) Is there any pub/cafe nearby when i can look for FL? If no, where are the nearest places that I can go to and how far by taxi?

2) Is there any clean and decent massage around my hotel and what is the rate?

Unless you are the adventerous guy, spend a few hundred peso (ok - not many, but like 100 peso plus plus) and take taxi and avoid jeepney (never in my life in Manila) or LRT ...

Avoid hotel taxi as the price is normally 2X or more but if you are not comfy- just use the hotel taxi.

You are right, and one side is Mandaluyong - almost a beginning of dump .. but, hey, you are not there to socialise with natives di ba ??

Grab a cab to Makati - Havana - about 150 peso - around there, or if you want to shoot fish in a barrell, head to MBC, or just happy with a bit ex-barfine - head to Edsa Complex, and .. if you want to be carrot head (like TP/PM here) go to P Burgo .. or - you can also check out "Classmate" at QC.

2) Is there any clean and decent massage around my hotel and what is the rate?

Not that I know of, but if clean, ask the hotel - I remember the in-house massage was classy - after all, the Edsa Shang is promoted as 6 Star ..
