This incident yesterday really bring my already low opinion of ojets to a new low.

Am here in Batam with 2 friends. After we step out from Happy 8 (first joint we visit where another ojet tried to pretend to be our "driver"), this ojet started following us. We already told him we don't required his service as we already know most joints that we intend to go shopping for girls.

We even went into Hans Inn to avoid him. Of course, it comes as no surprise that when we approach MM, he's already there waiting for us and pretending to usher us into the joint as he's the one who brought us there.

Same thing happen at Sri Kandi. Except that this time, the mami (Tari, who used to work at Gold Bird) told him off as yesterday was in fact our 3rd day in Batam and we had already been to Sri Kandi on the previous 2 days.

And, he still don't give up and repeated his same trick at Kupu Kupu.

After we left Kupu Kupu, he was already on his way to Bunga waiting for us. Damned this housefly. Can't ever get rid of him.

Instead of Bunga, we decided to make a detour and proceed to Hawaii KTV. Probably seeing that we haven't reach Bunga, he went searching for us and found us on the way to Hawaii KTV. All this while, we did not make any booking although we (or rather my friend as I'm extending my previous day booking) did bookmarked a couple from other joints.

As Bunga is the last stop and sending that maybe the commission he's looking for is near, he quickly make his way there waiting for us. The moment we step into the joint, I paid for my extension and vaguely saw him peeping through the glass door. I can bet that the puddle of water were made of his dripping saliva.

While helping my friend begin for discount, granny mami said that she can't give discount as we have driver. To which, I rebutted that he's not our driver and at the same time, I spoke to mami Ailing too regarding this ojet's behaviour. Well, at this time, Abu appeared. Lol... So, he's working here now after felling out with the mgmt at Kupu Kupu. Knowing that I'm not someone (and one of my friend too) who take transport to booking joints, he went off to f that bagger.

After we left the joint with my friend's booking (without driver's commission), he even had the cheek to ask "only booked one girl?". and immediately ran into the joint for his commission. LOL..

Needless to say, he didn't get any.

And, that's not the end of the story.

We ran into him again on our way to massage and he tried to pick a fight with us, after unsuccessfully asking from us his share of "commission".

And I thought that 7th month is over. Still got 饿鬼 around. Knn.

Finally ,even before Nov starts, Thor - Ragnarok already start screening all over Batam (except Nagoya Hill Mall as its under renovation,i heard)...hehehe...good!! Good!!!

Its a marvel movie,according to news,it brought in more than US$28 million in just 3 days since its release. I believe this movie is going to dominate the Nov box movie...thats only my guess. I think i will like this one,like most of the other Marvel and DC super heroes movies,hehehe...

The big bad villian in the movie,Goddess of Death Hela.

Those going to Batam this coming Nov 2017,i am sure movie fanatics wont want to miss this....hehehe....as always,dont forget not to eat and drink while watching the movie...hehehe...

No, both of them not botak. Both are ojets actually though. Maybe should stuck to my practice of coming Batam alone so that won't be target of these pests.

My solution :

I play building cut-through. We all have the tendency to walk by the side of the road so we could recognize landmarks to get to where we wish to go to,but if i find myself being stalk by ojek (the ojeks outside formosa hotel),instead of walking through by the roadside,i cut through buildings like Citywalk mall by entering it and comes out from another exit. I dont believe ojek can carry his motor bike and ride inside Citywalk Mall itself. I dont walk in by front door and exit by the same front door.

It can be done via booking joint too, if one has been to Batam during Ramadan time ,he will know that every booking joint has a back door. Or even coffee shops, eateries ,any building back lane etc. For back lane cut-through, just avoid doing so during sunset,to avoid any robbery or such (sorry,not that Batam isnt safe by night fall but prevention is always better than cure for my case everywhere).

No need to argue with them,just like using this forum,simply "ignore" these pest and play smart with them. Don't even talk to them or show the slightest interest,after my 1st good gesture of rejection. They auto become transparent to me.

* cut-through buildings is highly recommend for bros in group.

** these ojeks will keep doing what they did to you on others if they find their persistency works well for them. They have succeeded before,hence they are doing it to you now.

*** these ojeks are Batam's worst of its kind,if you ever use or pay for their service,only a matter of time i will get bitten. Thats solely my own view.

**** be reminded to always tell OKTs in any booking joint that you do not come with driver during bargaining (before any payment is made).

He didn't exactly follow us, he was already at the next joint by the time we reach there. And when we attempted to shake him off by going into Hans Inn, he just simply go to MM to wait for us. Even when we go to Hawaii KTV when Bunga is the next nearer joint, he found us as well.

Anyway, we make it a point to inform the okt that we came without drivers. So, he couldn't get a single rupiah commission.


Yes, that's why I support GoJek. These buggers just sit around and wanted to charge 3-4 times what you pay to GoJek. I'll continue using GoJek even if I had to play hide and seek with those pests.
