I think they will try their best to help you, if you are very keen and sincere to use their service. Nowaday, the salary cap shld be quite lenient. Got a frd, who has a basic pay of $1200/mth. Get his dream bride successfully after 2 selection.

I have a viet g/f who was caught working in JC last year. She is banned from coming to Sillypore for 3 years… until Aug 2009. ICA had taken all her finger prints. Now she has a black mark with the ICA.

1)If I marry her in VN, will I be able to bring her back before Aug 2009 and apply for PR?
2)Or if I wait till Aug 2009 to ROM her in Sillypore, will she be allowed entry? Also any problem in applying for PR?
3)MP helps me a lot in my parking summons… will they still be able to help me in getting PR for my potential viet wife?.. just like the case of bro Checkmate.

Since Aug 2009 is her lifted date, ICA won't be so compassionate in shortening her ban period. Bro kangtuo, i have been in ur situation before... but now i'm happlliy married and expecting my first child. During that diffcult period, i have been running down to ICA almost 3 times a week for a full 3 to 4 mths to submit documents, appeal, chitchat, kenna f* by them, get visa, pay deposit...etc... i already lost track of how many manhours and parking coupons i have spend at ICA. During that time, also have been seeking Bro Rof|maoxz's helps (thanks again bro Roflmaoxz) and advised.

Like what bro Roflmaoxz has siad, pls consider and reconsider again and again. This is not an easy road to take. Even if u get STSVP to get married here, after that need to get LTSVP then LTSVP again again again.... then maybe just maybe a SPR....
This is a long and diffcult road, only u fighting the battle with ICA alone, ur future wife is in her homeland. U will feel dejected, feel like giving up, feel like why u are doing this, waste time......etc when u are rejected time and time again by ICA.

If u are really sincere, pls go ahead. But pls be prepared for a long battle. And also be truthful to ICA for everything.

Many bros interested in foreigner wife, including me....
I think ICA had quotas for each nationality ...

I had friends who tried many times but not successful.
They need many documents, including not stated in the form.
Like salary, educational, financial status, home ownership, ....
they want to access you & your wife ability & potential to contribute to economy. Lastly, both family background do matter.
However, PRC seem to be much easier.

One of my friend earning about $2000/mth still cannot get PR for his thai wife. He become a regular flyer.
He went to ICA on countless times and those ICA fatty virgin are not very helpful. I can understand these unmarried gal .... they must be wondering why you had to choose someone outside. he keep scolding these ICA staff as old fxxxing virign.

Another friend who is only secondary 2 education but earn almost $100,000/yr, only manage to get PR for his thai wife after several interviews and appeal. finally, he reject the PR and shift to locate in thailand.

Another friend try to get PR for his indonesia wife.
He get it after 6mth from ROM, on 1 appeal.
He is secondary educated but told me that he shown them his bank statment, a FD of SGD 200,000 for more than 3yr. His house is fully paid and his business is doing well. So, I guess they look at money & financial liability as well.
He even went to MP and MP write in for him.
He tell MP that if ICA do not approve, he will shift his business elsewhere, creating unemployment for singaporean ....(dun kno if true or not.)

I think that if you and your wife had a clean criminal record, strong financial, low liability & good employment status, good eductional record (especially where expertise are needed), able to contribute to the economy, .... things are much easier.

If NOT, get your gf to study in Poly/NUS.
Upon graduation, she get PR as well.

Getting your gf to work here before marry is not advisable.
You had additional barrier to overcome - MOM....

I guess option 1 is out.
Only go for option 2 and keep on visiting ICA for coffee and chitchat... till the battle is won.
Choose option 3 when required.

Anyway i am also considering and re-considring about continuing. I will also be checking on her to see if its worth having her as my partner for life. Still got 2.5years... who knows what happen.

But at least now i know that there is still a possibility for her to come here... 1 'rock' is off my mind now....

Bro, a few years ago, ICA also made it clear that pregnancy doesn't lead to PR. Still the most important is whether you have a stable job that can convince the government that you can feed your foreign spouse.

For your case i need to know the exact location where she was caught. Example red handed pants down at the toilet, pub or ktv or coffeeshop etc.
