Stereotyping of tiongs not new in Spore.
But we cant blame fellow Sporeans.
Read too much in the papers.
Eg so n so marriage breakdown cos of foreign lady, 1st thing cum out of the mouth is tiong.
Then FB saw pic someone use her foot to press traffic light button, my fren 1st reaction is Tiong? (later came out anthr post to say she's Viet)
Then news came out so n so massage spa got raided ... ppl first reaction, 'must be tiong spa'.
For me ok im ok la, the spa i goto mostly tiongs, and my regular ML is a tiong too. ML often told me SG bu dun like them bl bl bl ... apeh see them on the street often wanna approach them n ask for contact, always thinking most of them provide service.
Sometimes u think many of them v poor thing also ... their reputation got stained cos of the black sheep.

If your only contact with tiongs are those in the *cough cough* businesses, then of course, you'll only have a one-sided view.

But if you have broader contacts and know those from the decent and middle-class part of their society, as your classmates, colleagues, or even relatives through marriage, then you realize that they are not too much different from us.

The difference between us and them sometimes is as much or as little as the difference between northern and southern PRC people - it's something that is expected and accepted. When talking to beifang MLs, we realize that some of the mandarin words and pronunciations we use are distinct - but they expect it as we all here are mostly descended from southern china.

i think some bro mistaken me, i dont hate PRC i used to work there with a handful staffs working for me. Most of the ppl there are simple n kind, unlike some we encounter here in SG. which i label them as left over, becos even FL there service i can say is tip top. But what i hate is the CCP, nothing good out of it just propaganda n evil.

Bro i agreed, but the problem with CCP is nobody can hold them accountable, unlike other nations be it democratic or republic. even russia or iran have to jarga jarga abit

Total confirmed cases to date is 1910. 884 in hospital with 29 in ICU. 559 in isolation. Total discharged so far is 460. 54 was discharged for the day. Open air stadiums closed. MRT trains and buses implement social distancing. Have a Good Friday. Still got old man sit outside closed massage shop drinking, smoking & playing mp3 loud loud trying to test NEA officers on patrol. The new cotton mask is hard to breathe.

So who has been holding US responsible for everything they did?
