Based on my observations, there are generally two types of pregnant women.

Type A
Dressed in a frumpy, shapeless dress. Messy hair tied in an equally messy bun. No makeup. Constant dour or angry expression on the face (probably from the hormonal changes). Walks with her hands supporting her hips.

Type B
Wont even go near your typical maternity clothes. Well groomed. Glowing complexion. Carries herself with poise and confidence.

I suspect that the ones getting some falls into Type B. Afterall, it is a fact that men are visual creatures....

Type A - Typical married lady who is thrifty and/or feels that looks are just exterior beauty, that's why won't spend on attractive maternity clothes. Likely having children because it is part of her wifely duty, or simply because "it's time".

Type B - Enjoys shopping and being well-groomed, deems it as part of keeping oneself in check during pregnancy, as well as a way to remain attractive. Glowing complexion is the result of rigorous skincare and makeup regime. Likely having children because she enjoyed sex a bit too much, or because she desires having children.

And actually if you guys take a closer look, well-groomed women usually remain well-groomed even during pregnancy. It is those married women who typically don't care much about self-grooming who go into being "Type A". At least that's true for 99% of the pregnant women I know.

Wonder if you will agree. Type B, fearful of not able to lose the weight gained during pregnancy, eats lesser as a result during pregnancy which in turn leads to a small mal-nourished baby being born. Their logic, once the baby is born, the baby can drink more milk to gain the weight needed for healthy growth.

i rather think being well groomed even during pregnancy is a matter of personal choice of how to live a life. i had shown my wife how to without costing us an arm and a leg or substantial inconvenience on her end and she did it twice. it is all about determination and mind. she is just a normal ordinary woman. she can do it so can every lady out here and there. again, it is your choice, either way.
