Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

On the red card issue, I think it is a justice done to Liverpool.

Remember last season's game at Anfield, we were leading the game till the referee give a soft penalty to Chelsea which they converted.

Anyway for this type of huge games, home team usually have some advantages over the away team.
Take a look at Man Utd, referees are always giving them the benefit of doubt at OT.

So, end of the day, we can't really complain abt that.
Most important is the 3 pts & still hot on Man Utd's heels.

Absolutely bro, Fat Lamp got rightly sent off because his intent was there, feet off the ground, studs up. How can the commentators say he is not that type of player.

It does. Bosingwa deserves a straight red and he is one of Chelsea's best attacking weapons. I can't believe neither Riley nor the assistant missed it.

I was looking at the bench when Torres was replaced. If you look carefully, you can see the dejected face of Agger. I really hope we renew his contract. He's a decent centreback for us, with Carragher and Hyypia aging. First time I see someone (Bosingwa) defend a corner kick by using his boot to push Benyanoun's butt. How is that not a foul or even a sending off? To add insult to injury, the linesman saw it happen from a distance of 50 cm?
u r rite bro we got to sort out agger s contract, glad to see skertel back really a hard man to get past.

Keane's off, we only hardly lost any money on it, it seems, give or take a few million.

Hate to admit it but I'm glad he's gone. Never really fit in.

Anyway it was not easy for anyone to tackle Alonso without risking a foul
it looked like a one-footed challenge fr replays but i guess lampa was juz unlucky. it was oso widely debated tt gerrard did a similar lunge at anthr chelski player but wasnt booked at all. n anthr incident which gerrard seemingly kicked d ball at an injured chelski player (altho it does nt look very intentional) but was nt booked. delap tried a similar stunt @ a man city player n was sent off! i thk reputation n d person's character counts alot in football. when ref see yr face buay song, like mascherano, any harmless tackle or rant can land u a booking!

d decision tt surprised many ppl! d linesman seemed to be waving to d ref for d offence but later gave up. not sure whthr it was to make up for d earlier 'wrong decision' to send off lampa.

he looked pitiful n dejected every time he's subbed. really look like an unwanted child, like what Rafa openly mocked in public tt he didnt sign keane but d board did. im sure keane will be a happier kid @ spurs which he shd b better appreciated.

i was hoping tt rafa sign a good replacemt for keane b4 d tfr deadline. with so many cup games looming, tired legs will soon take its toll on d players. SG n Torres cant be superman, giving 5 star performances wk in wk out.

so disappointed rafa nvr sell his godson lucas leiva ... hopefully by end season!

Cant say he didnt try but when Rafa decided to "play a fool" with him, sad to say, we knew he is not gonna make it at Anfield...

Put it this way, they are simpliy not good enough?
Truth is, these players, maybe other than Keane, have all been given a chance to proof themsleves but they are just not up to the standard...
Brillant in 1 game, injuried or poor in another... Too inconsistent...

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

wow as a matter of record, i think keane is in more ways then one a record signing for Liverpool...possibly the quickest exit record for a new signing by Liverpool...

in any case i feel that he is a tremendous player when he was in Tottenham....just that he can't fit into Benitez style..

Benitez was biased against him from the start coz Keane was signed by Rick Parry...... Benitez was further incensed when the player he wanted Gareth Barry was not purchased coz Rick Parry claimed Barry was overpriced .... then he go and pay 20 million pounds for Keane ..... no wonder Benitez was hopping mad !!!

Keane is the kind of player that cannot be restricted to one position, in Tottenham he was effective as he was allowed the freedom to roam round the last quarter...but over here it is Benitez style or no style...
