hi...any bros here who are regular in HCMC can give me some advise..

i'm currently attached to my Vietnam office, some colleagues here jio me out this Friday...dinner then follow by bia-om or karaoke

i think they suppose to want me to pay...can any bros here advise how much does bia-om and karaoke cost here, not at District 1...and the tips to give to the gals...thanks in advance

Tips are subjected to individual. I paid VND100,000 for PRs at disco but I had seen some rich men was paying USD100. Karaoke? I paid USD10 to USD20.
All tips mentioned is do not include any additional services.

Let me enlighten everyone on the tipping here....

Disco PRs - normally VND 100K. You can give more if you tryting to impress the ger.

KTV PRs - Normally VND 100K to VND800K. This depends on where you go. Some KTVs like Catwalk i would suggest nothing less than VND 300K.

Bia Oms - Normally it should be VND100K - VND 300K. Anything more, i will call you carrot head.

LT - USD100
ST - USD50

Anything more, I would say you are being Carrot Head. Just tell the ger you have been in HCMC long time and you know the market rate. Just to let you know, Catwalk Gers are asking for USD$150 for ST

Actually most of the answers to your questions are already featured in earlier replies in this HCM thread, it may be wise to at least make a small effort to do a simple search

Anyway not wise to drink hard liqueur in these places as they may not be authentic, try to drink beer as it last longer and cheaper, most probably may not cost you more than VND2m for a group of 5 excluding tips.

BTW, was it Hanoi or CP in March's GTO outing? I reckon RMB is going up; VND rate is relatively better somewhat...in my visit there recently.
