It's similar to PRC - the whole village will be invited. A few years ago my PRC girl friend told me that's the custom there. I scared already run far far away.

What complicated issue does she have other than owing some debt? I need to know because she wants me to be her guarantor to come to Singapore. I see no points for her to come here because if I am her guarantor then I cannot allow her to work. In that case, how does she earn money to pay back her debt?

That's why I'll be crossing my fingers when I visit her parents again in the middle of the year. I hope to find out also how many were invited during her elder sister's wedding few years ago.

A sponsor or guarantor can face jail or fine or both if the gal was caught working illegally while on tourist visa...
