hey , i'm sure you guys know about Yu Kee Duck Rice, it is a chain or franchise or whatever but their chilli is good !!!.. full of flavor and it is cooked with ikan bilis ... *slurp* .. everytime the auntie will give me a black face when i take 2 saucers of chilli ..

Ever since this thread started, it's a daily pre-lunch ritual to read what's cooking today

I noticed there's no Char Keow Teow recommandation (apart from the good old airport food centre) in this thread.

I can understand why cos many CKT stalls aren't anything but misery with no char-skill, fxxkup attitude/services, miserable ingredients & skyhigh prices

I'm only a lowly paid worker, sell my time to the company for that peanut dollars to get by every month only what. Can save a dollar is a dollar earned ok!

By the way, just a healthy tip: When eating lup cheong, it's best to remove the lup cheong casing

Grill, BBQ or Steam, it taste much better, especially frying rice or keow teow ..Yummy

Btw, nowadays, is it allowable to bring own lup cheong to the stall and let them fry together with my pack of Char Keow Teow? I don't mind paying extra cos just don't wanna waste my bags of sentimental value lup cheong

If u know the stall owners, usually not an issue. They will do it

Not sure about lup cheong but I ever bring my own clams and ask the uncle to fry together with my char kwey tiao and I got a black face from him.
