Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
King close to returning against Sevilla
Tottenham are increasingly hopeful that Ledley King will make a long-awaited return during tomorrow's Uefa Cup quarter-final second leg against Sevilla at White Hart Lane. The Spurs captain has been unavailable because of injuries to both feet since playing in the Boxing Day victory against Aston Villa and any return would be particularly timely given that Martin Jol is likely to be without his left-back Lee Young-pyo, who suffered a knee injury in the first leg, as well as the cup-tied Ricardo Rocha. Tottenham must overcome a 2-1 deficit if they are to reach a first European semi-final since winning the Uefa Cup in 1984. GOOD LUCK SPURS!

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
2 early goals. 1 own goal which shd not be and 1 controversial goal.
2nd half sevilla seems to sit back liao. could have seal a win. dawson badly volley, berbatov pussy shot, sums up the game. issit a wrong move to sub zokora instead of malbranque? tink spurs players lack exposure and experience. hope they gain this experience and advance to a high stage nxt season. cheerz

and berbatov... he must have bonked 7 shots before he stepped onto the pitch. Jermaine Jenas and Ledley King of Tottenham Hotspur look dejected after their 2-2 draw with Sevilla. The Spanish club will have a chance to defend their title if they can get past fellow Liga side Osasuna in the semifinals while Spurs are left to dream of next year. i woke up at about 3.45am, the tv was showing commercials so must be half-time. when the live feed came back, i saw spurs supporters on the stands with their sad and sorrowful faces, i knew something was wrong. well there's still next season, spurs aint going to play in the champions league anyway. |

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
I reckon its better if I lay back and not think so much of the current situation at WHL. Its just heartbreak to see and think of what wouldve and shouldve been a great season for Spurs. So to take mind of the stress, here's my 5 best and 5 worst players in each position since I became a Spurs fan. And u all please, join in, name yours. But please, only name players that have played for Spurs SINCE u became a fan or if ure not a fan, at least uve seen him play week in week out. So that means there are no place for players like Greaves, Blancflower and Mackay...unless if ure 50 Years old. These are my selection. FYI Ive been a supporter since 1984/85.
BEST: GK- 1)Clemence - If not for Shilton, he could be an England legend 2)Thorsvedt - Excelent shot stopper from Norway 3)Tony Parks - Our UEFA Cup hero. 4)Robinson - Current England No1. Scores goals too 5)Kasey Keller - Excellent but were put off by our dodgy defence DF -1)Mabbut - Spurs Through and through, unlike Sol 2)King - Our current leader at the back. Hope he won't do a Sol on us! 3)Richard Gough - The Scotland Captain of the 80s 4)Steve Perryman/Ciga Popescu - Perryman is a great Flankback while Ciga is a great game reader from Romania 5)Sol Campbell/Dawson - Ok ok, I had to put Sol in coz he was a majestic player for us. Dawson? Simply a wonderkid. MF- 1)Hoddle - The player, not the manager! 2)Gazza - Fat but fantastic 3)Ginola - A brilliant footballer than a brilliant shampoo model! 4)Waddle/Lennon - Same style of play, but Lennon is shorter and dont have that Mullet! 5)Ardiles - Great tackler, sublime passes and rolled down stockings. What more could we ask for? FW- 1)Clive Allen - 40 goals in 1 season? Yes he did just that 2) Lineker - Six yard box man. Why did he leave for Japan? 3)Klinsmann - His 1st season was a bomb....Dive, dive....Boom! 4)Teddy Sherri - No pace, great brains! 5)Berbatov - He looks like count dracula dont u think? Manager: 1)Terry Venables 2) Martin Jol 3)Glenn Hoddle WORST: GK: 1)Bobby Mimms - My my.... 2) Frode Grodas - Big reputation, hardly see action (wait, that Rhymes!) 3)Ian Walker - ok..he has 2 or 3 caps for England..is it worth it? 4)Espen Baardsen - He's ok, but sometimes cr*p 5)Sullivan - Same as Baardsen DF- 1)Jason Cundy - Overweight 2)Ramon Vega - own goals, sleep walking, utter cr*p for Spurs, but then boom! He scored for the Swiss against England! 3)Dean Austin - Whenever the wind blows, he would fall... 4)Terry Fenwick/Paolo Tramezzani- TF:a surprise inclusion for many, but to me is cr*p. PT: My my my.... 5)Bunjecevic/Chris Perry/Dean Richards - These players came from the same squad. Very poor MF- 1)Jason Dozzell - Hahahahaha....more like DOZE-HELL 2)Steve Hodge - How he was an ENgland International is a good Question! 3)Steve Sedgely - Hardman? NOT! 4)Willem Korsten - He was an up and comming player until Injury cuts short his footballing carreer 5)Sinton/Dumitrescu - Sinton- another Eng International...But how? Dummy-trescu - Highly rated after the 94 WC but was a flop for us. FW- 1)Chris Armstrong - Overated at Palace, flooped with Spurs 2)Grzegroz Rasiak - We bought him from Derby for 3Mil Pounds??? 3)Darren Caskey - No Comment....just poor 4)Steffen Iversen - Supposed to be better than Ole Gunnar Solks b4 both of them went to Britain. 5)Rory Allen - Who???? Manager : 1) Christian Gross 2) Geaorge Graham 3) David Pleat/Jaques Santini/Ossie Ardiles Wow....this thing really made me forget about the UEFA Cup exit....almost took my brains off trying to think of these players...I am sure I left some1 behind....Sheesh... |

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
Why so much fuss over the lost. It did not take overnight to build the great Roman Empire right. Keep the spirits up people! Anyway, in a way, im glad that Spurs lost, coz i, afraid if they win it will become like false hope for next season. Look what happened to Gunners this season. Spurs must continue to learn and develop next season. I think in 09 we will then see true potential of Spurs!!! Be patient yeah you white lilies

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London
wigan 3 (heskey, baines, kilbane)
spurs 3 (berbatov, keane - 2) goal feast! count dimitar made amends for his poor outing against seville. Tottenham's Dimitar Berbatov (center) scores against Wigan to pull one back. Robbie Keane scores his team's third goal against Wigan Athletic. The game ended in an engaging 3-3 draw. |

i had a good impression on armstrong actually. he worked very well with sheringham and scored a few from acute angles. bro you really named the worst managers. when george graham joined, he stopped the leak as expected, but spurs was playing like arsenal with 0-0 and 1-1 scorelines. |
