ask them to do a scope and if needed...take sample to confirm. There must be a problem....and hope they can solve fast. No point asking too much over here, just go and see a urologist. Wish u best of luck. Take care. |

Re: frequent urination
bro Mister Recluse, how is your condition now? Hope it has improved after you seen Dr Ho. I had another espisode of painful urination this week. Again the pain lasted about 8 days. Really during the episode, all sorts of thoughts wandered through my mind. Took Potassium Citrate and lots of water to chase away the symptoms. Saw Dr Ho and this time he prescribed me to take a sachet of anti-bacterial agent called Monurol (fosfomycin trometamol) to treat any possible infection inside the bladder and urinary tract. Did not seem to work immediately but the pain got a bit worse before getting better and eventually no more.
Don't give up hope. Continue to see Dr Ho and follow his advice. Take care ! |

Re: frequent urination
These doctors I tell you they keep getting patients to do more tests, means more money for them.
Are you 40years or older? if so maybe you have an enlarged prostrate. A GP could tell this by sticking his finger up your arse and feel the prostrate. If not, the urologist should be more experienced to know. No panic if you have an enlarged prostrate. The urologist will just shave a bit of the prostrate that is in contact with the bladder. 3 days stay in the hospital. I had mine done in UK and its free medical health service. Only complaint was the hospital food. Good luck |

Re: frequent urination
Bro,
Ur symptoms can have many many different causes but for simplicity its good to break it down into 2 categories: 1. Infection 2. No Infection Infection – you can consider stopping all antibiotics for at least 2 weeks then go get tested again for ALL STDs. Remember that not all bacteria that cause NGU can be tested for. No Infection. Possible causes are: 1. Stone 2. High Bladder Neck 3. Detrusor Instability 4. Chronic Prostatic Pain Syndrome 5. Interstitial Cystitis 6. Non-bacterial Prostatitis 7. Pelvic Floor Dysfunction 8. etc Treatment for these conditions can take a long time. U read the internet some pple with chronic prostatic pain syndrome take medicine for more than 1 year! I noe someone personally who went through 3 surgeries and many CT, MRI scans. Spend a huge bomb on medical fees for exactly the same symptoms as u have. In the end found out he had pelvic floor dysfunction. Now just need to take anti-anxiety medicine and everything ok. So bro, see a good doc, get all the tests done until you have a proper diagnosis. Once u noe wat the problem is just be patient and stick with the treatment no matter how long it takes. |
