I know this reply is late but I just wish to comment, its a good move (a better move than taking up Venesia). This Barelang hotel is still very new, hence if you are a simple man whose priority is mainly the room and bed, it should work pretty well as this hotel is relatively quite centrally located towards the entertainment district.

Not gonna be easy on this one. They may have to do some chemical wash on the pool's tiles (the process involve emptying the pool a few times and then allowing to dry etc). Most spa of Batam do not have that expertise to do that and it will cost quite a bit, not to mention the waiting period of the after-wash which may cost the pool to be shut from customer/s for a bit.

Which could means a lost of income for them.
