Go for Maxi, Aston and Paradise should be safe according to driver .

Dolphine - food is nice( butter sotong)but the waiting time is too long.Not recommended

Maxi 100% chop and guaranteed by management. But if caught with drugs even god cant help u.

As for seafood, guys can try Long beach and many others.

Just a bit of comments here from my visit.

As for raids, I feel the big hotels (Maxi, Aston, Paradise) are safe.

Middle tier hotels are probably 50-50 chance.

Normally smaller and unknown hotels are targeted.

But don't be too worried and just go ahead if you are planning a visit soon.

For food tastes and its pricing, it depends on what you order and also your preferences.

Long Beach I feel is not so nice, though ambience is good.

Dolphin has better food although waiting time is a bit long, and limited seating area.

Silver River is not bad also. With wider area and good ambience.

Apart from those 'seafood restaurants', there are many eating shops / stalls in Balai. You will never get hungry there.

Above are only my personal opinion only.

Long Beach food really can't make it compare to Dolphine , sliver river even Bingo is better and sometime it's stink .

Yes they do celebrate hari raya as they are muslim. Are you asking if they open during the fasting period? Yes they still 'open' for business but not as openly as normal days. Vila's doors will be half closed and most gers will be back to kampung also. Leftovers are gers with not much money to go back. As for cheonging at this period, my advice is to stay indoors. Do & Me delivery can be reached at 0777-324045. Seafood delivery can be arranged at 0777-22222 called from Indo line. Both services price are cheaper than hotel room service and tasty too.
