Budget Airlines Offer Asia - Page 3

Bro,

Question on the Bangkok airport tax: -

Tiger Airways out from Bangkok, do we still need to pay the 700Bt or not, or already included like Jetstar?

How about Airasia?

I only know Jetstar is included on the online fare.

Believe its already included.....Didnt c any tax collection booths when I was in BKK recently......

Already included!! just like Jetstar...
Just return from bangkok last week. one thing i don't like abt Airasia is that the plane don't go all the way to the terminal... you have to alight near the airport and transfer by a bus to the terminal!!

ya..was in bkk last week...they dont park at the aerobridge. tiger dun have such problem.

I often find that these budget airlines offers are not really true coz did remembered AirAsia had a promo before...One PHN-BKK for USD15. But when ya add up all the taxes and fuel charges, it came up to USD125...What the...?!

Any bro agreed with me?

Air Asia lives up to it's budget or LCC (low cost carrier) name sake. Same bus ride (real pain) for old Don Muang and new Suvarnabhum. Same for Tiger at our BT too. Only Jetstar has aerobridge both ways.

Fact is only base airfare is advertised (minus taxes, service charge etc). May seem misleading to you, but there's always small print * which says exclude taxes etc.

And budget promos are often block booked by travel/tour agencies, only for limited seats or short time window. For Bkk it's worthwhile to check out regular airlines (CX or TG) off peak periods ard 260-300 incl taxes. Got mine for sg nationa hol 300. Plus you get free makan, no need to walk and ge seat allocation (not like circus rushing for seats).

Yup, U R right. Think for budget fare only limited to small numbers of ticket. First comes first serve basis. Book way ahead much cheaper once the offer is out. BOOK ON THE SPOT.

Hi all,

Just to share my learning, for this coming July trip to Bkk. I paid $138, Jetstar, (with taxes & all charges included) but I booked the tickets on early Feb this year. I have to plan my leave well & prepared to forgo the airfare charges if I can't proceed on time. Cheers.

Some play dirty. Offer dirt cheap tickets to first 20 then cut the throats of the rest when they all come rushing in. Then the first 20 will go round blabbering to all their friends etc and the cycle continues.

i think this is excluding the tax, u may hv to add about S$230 for tax... total is about S$450... tiger still cheaper...
