Actually wat i'm trying to say is if its a foreigner who commited a crime against a local Thai.. the law enforcer will probably side more to the locals and sometimes even try to help rip the foreigner off together with the local... Yes this ppl dealing with some important bussiness, as for us hor better follow their laws, why want know this kind of ppl, how much can u spent on entertainment just becos you want to get away with speeding and traffic fine and in the first place do they want to know you or not? Share a story about power and corruption in Thailand:
One night a rich young Thai man was driving his prized MR2 on the motorway... along the way, he met a ferrari and decided to race him to test his newly modified engine.

He won the ferrari and went happily to the nearest petrol station to top up his petrol.... along came a man in suit and demanded him to pass his car keys to him. The young man was shocked and asked why? The man in suit told him he is police.... having a influencial dad, he called his dad on his mobile and let his dad spoke to the man in suit thinking it'll scare him off. The man in suit talked to the dad and passed the mobile back to the young man... young man's dad asked him to just pass the car key to the "police" and shut up and take a bus home.....

Police even ask me climb out of corridor and take a look at 3rd floor. I didn't look. Crazy, dead person with the brains splattered where got nice to see. I just close my door, lock it, and went back to sleep.

Most recent encounter....along Sukhumvit 12.....me & bro Hako sandwiched by 2 cops for littering cigarette butt....claims summons cost 5k go court blah blah blah...Settle outside only 2k....my girl bargained until B$500.....beware of these enterprising policemen along the tourists stretch....many other stories.....makes good party stories but like some bros mentioned....Thailand still not most corrupt and not all the policemen are like these....imho the tourist police the best amongst the lot....last time when the military in power it was worse......
