anyway...if it is for any of the above.. you need to show your Singpass and CPF statment, not forgeting your POSB account book and BUS Pass if any...

Some hotels allow you to use Tranitlink card or cashcard to pay also... so
remember to bring. Join them as members like MacDonalds and can exchange
for rewards.

Damn..............you're lucky you came to the right website to ask this question............ok lah...........share with you a little known secret well-kept in this Forum and the Hotel Scene in the Whole Wide World...........when you sign-up to this site, you are automatically entitled to a special package offered only to SB Users like you and me............Please read below conversation :

Procedure for Non SB User :

Counter Staff : "-Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening- Sir. How may i help you?"
Non SB User : "Hello -Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening- , is there any rooms available now?"

Counter Staff (After checking availability of rooms) : "Yes Sir. We have rooms available now. Would you prefer a Standard Room or a Deluxe Room?"
Non SB User : "A -your room choice- please"

Counter Staff : "Sir, Would you like a Queen-Sized bed or a King-Sized Bed?"
Non SB User : "A -your bed choice- please"

Counter Staff : "Ok. By the way Sir, do you have any Membership card or Discount card?"
Non SB User : "Nope"

then the Counter Staff will ask for your Name, Contact number and Cash Deposit ONLY (NO Other Info) before handing over to you your room key. With that, you can now go to your room.

However since you are a fellow SB User, there is a way which you don't even need to give your Personal Info nor pay for the room.

Procedure for SB User (you lah):

Counter Staff : "-Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening- Sir. How may i help you?"
Sinopeppy : "Hello -Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening- , is there any rooms available now?"

Hahah...this guy (or kid) really gave me a good laugh. I was even toying with the idea of upping his points.

Anyway, I have reformat his question in a way familiar to all of us.

Qn : What do you have to show to book a short-time hotel room?
A) NRIC
B) PASSPORT
C) CPF STATEMENT
D) Singpass (isn't your Singpass number the same as your NIRC ??)
E) All of the above (as suggested by the "and" in the original post)

Lol...the Singpass part is the best....i think NTUC should get into the short-time hotel business, and use an automated self-checkin system which takes in your Singpass/password, and then a key will drop out for you. To provide more privacy for the customers, only blangas are employed as room cleaners and thick curtains should be installed (like in Korea) at the front of the hotel to shield cars coming in-out.


But seriously, to answer the poster's question. There are ways to get in anonymously if you don't mind the quality of the hotel/room. (Read : some of the "rooms for rent" places don't ask for identity verification)
