Hi bro,
just my 2 cents worth. When you do abs exercise, just like any other muscles, they develop. As they grow, the push out the outer layer of fat, maybe thats why aft doing abs still got the 'unsightly bulge' you mentioned. my personal experience reducing tummy fat was to do intensive cardio 2x a week, in addition to my gym workout. would either do 100 mtr sprints, then walk back starting line, start sprinting again, walk about.. repeat 10x. then at the end of 10 sprints, i do a moderate 1.2km run. OR.. i would go bt timah, run uphill. everytime i shag and cannot run any more i start walking DOWN... then run up again when get back my breath. both options also took me less than 20mins each, but work wonders. after 3 weeks, i got feedback from other people saying i lost weight and all. One way to get greats abs is to reduce body fat to almost 10% body fats or lower. Avoid fast food or junk food and eat healthy. Not forgetting to eat more protein to recover your muscle after exercises. Best is to alternate your routine of exercise, reps and with as to shock the muscle.
