Re: Off topic but need help.
I think not everybody is cut out for sales job. If do well, you can earn alot commission with less effort. There are other non-sales job which you can earn a good living too. End of the day is what suits you.
Just my thoughts. Quote:

also some sales job have many after sales follow up, which means you may get called up at night time or even past midnight particularly when your sale involves international parties with different time zones it does not happen overnight, start with a company of your forte, which would probably give you a very low base and low to medium comm for a start, over the years build up to a very decent base salary plus high comm (depending on your communication, sales and networking skills). it takes time and a lot of effort (plus there are a lot of politics involved - its a dog eat dog world in sales when you are fighting over comm with people inside your own company - things can get real ugly) |

Re: Share your age, salary and money spent on cheonging.
Wow bro you are late 40s but 30k debt, you really don't plan well.
Monthly 5K not bad, after CPF you take home 4K, why spend it all on entertainment, you are still single, might well set aside some money for saving instead. Quote:

At 30, I realise one must really save for rainy days.
friends and relationships change, the only thing that is constant is perhaps the money in your bank account.. |

Re: Share your age, salary and money spent on cheonging.
Being in sg, other than savings, medical linked insurance is another priority as the older when you buy, premium is higher and there may be exclusions.

Re: Share your age, salary and money spent on cheonging.
going to be 30 this year...2.6k plus excluding OT.
would spend around 300~500 on FLs, sometimes might go cold turkey... 400 on monthly expenses, the rest invest in stocks for dividend play. 400 to my mum. no choice, my savings rate not improving and interest rate of 0.8% pa from cimb is barely enough to counter inflation. target to save at least 10k per year, however the need to pay uni sch fees every sem is a downer.
