My girlfriend just passed away...

DEATH is part the growing process. This is the last stage of growing in Living Things - Human Nature.

When my two children (now 5 and 7) start to ask what are they doing (funeral), i will tell my children that daddy & mummy one day will be holding the similar 'party' like this.

after a few day of "sleeping", we will be sent to mandai cremetarium to put inside a "spaceship (burner)" and transported to another "world" and later you come back to collect daddy bones, etc.

My condolence to u bro.the saddest thing in life is to not being able to stop your love one from leaving u due to nature course.

U may feel helpless,extremely hurt,unbelieve painful but u should be glad that in this life time,u had one true love.that true love never die,nor end.and u have the chance to spend the most important moment with her.and I'm very sure that was the happiest moment for her.

Many do not have the chance to go thru true love.u did.

i applauded you for spending your "precious" time accompany your girlfriend before she journey to another wonderful world.
I am sure she is now looking over your shoulder ,blessing you and spiritually taking care of you as what you did when she was ill.

Yes, you can dwell on those Good Memories together with her but i am sure she also want you to move on with your life as well.

Things took an unfortunate turn around March 2011, where out of the blue. She just asked for a breakup . I was shocked and wanted to know why. I called her but she refused to answer my phone and even when overseas for 3 months just to avoid me . I know her as she's not the type that would just leave without a word. I begin to pester her parents day and night about her whereabouts ..but they just tell me for forget about her as she's married to an Ang moh overseas.
Well, obviously they are hiding some facts as I know she would NEVER just leave without a world

After about 6 months of constant pestering her family , her sister finally told me that my girlfriend had been diagnosed with leukemia . It was a total shock to me . I couldn't accept what her sister told me.
She wanted to breakup with me because she doesn't want me to be upset and cry over her when she's gone. She would rather play the "bad guy" role and want me to forget about her .

I resigned my job and flew over to Australia to find her .. She was alr all bald (due to chemo and radiation ). Well.. We cried when we saw each other . What kind of man am I to leave my girlfriend in her most difficult moment of her life.

Well, cut things short , I spend the last 6 months with her travelling around and just spend time with each other .

She passed away on December 2012 after fighting cancer for nearly 2 years.

I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to you. Cheer up, and muster up your courage and move on, for her. She will not be happy seeing you like this crying over her, she will want you to move on. I'm not being offensive but sticking around this site might help you with a thing or two with moving on, in a good way or bad way, we sure won't know. For me I've good a feeling that I'm on my way to become single after being in this site.. Cheer up bro, you can do it!

Condolences. 2 years.... It means she had the cancer when she was still with you.

Thinking aloud: Why do people like to hide things? There is nothing noble, nothing chivalrous and nothing virtuous at all. Instead, one should stand up and spread the word, cancer is curable nowadays, so many alternative cures available, from stem cells, to simply eating placenta pills, to purging, to vegetable diets. So many people get cured and are living normal lives with no recurrent attacks. Simply change the lifestyle and especially diet.


Why got to hospital, get radiated and all sort of pain and torture on the way to death?


So sad she chose this path. She should have told you and perhaps you may find a cure, and know someone who knows someone for a cure..... . And perhaps long ago cured her and stood by her when she is going through the treatments.
