Well now that she has made a statement, and if she is found to have made a false report, the Police could charge her with making a false statement... Of and of course, you are always INNOCENT until proven guilty...

As for suing her for damages for slander and otherwise, you must be able to prove that your reputation has been harmed, and as it stands presently, I believe it has not. I also believe that you do not want this matter to blow up and for your wife to find out from the wrong sources. Note that her being charged and convicted of making a false statement would be a good thing, if you are seeking to sue her for damages, but from my understanding, even if you did successfully sue her, she has little in way of money to pay any damages or otherwise for her claim that you raped her. And also do note that any countersuit would likely be in open court, so if you wish to keep things under wraps for your marriage, it might prove to be difficult.

A strategic move might be to pre-empt things and inform your wife of what has happened, if it becomes apparent that the matter is about to be blown up... better that your wife hears it from you than from someone else I guess, as to whether such honesty may be enough to save your marriage or otherwise, that is something you would know best.

Hope everything goes well for you.. Too bad as many mentioned the law protect women but if she is making false report I don't think she can get away with it. Many such cases already, the police aren't stupid as well.

Guess the best way for married/attached guy is to proceed to the legal scene. At most only risk being caught/seen which is not very possible if careful enough. And yea like some bro mentioned 'cheonging sim card' best not to let her know where u stay, work, car plate etc

I wonder if having a spycam on hand always helps? If might not be legal to record such stuff but sure can prove your innocence

As some brother mention, Rape is a very very serious offence. If she really lodge case against you, police should have take action against you by now.
As my point of view, she just legalise and made a statement in the police station, and sound like she don’t have any prove at all (eg. Med report, etc.). Law is rich man world.. therefore, she may need to engage a lawyer in order to sue you (only if she is rich).
Remain claim, keep all you prove of innocent. Most important now is your wife & family, because she had legalise her statement in police station, so may use that to threatening you (this is what you need to worries about currently).
If you have a lawyer friend, try to ask them if they can help to buy the statement that she lodge (only lawyer can buy).
alternatively, you may go to some cc that provide legal advice (free), ask the lawyer for advice.

For your family concern, if you manage to get lawyer help or manage to get a copy of the statement report from her. Protect yourself first by counter lodge a statement against her with all the sms prove (all the statement lodge are legal in court, that why only lawyer can buy it), just in case she threatening you or your family, or in-case she really sue you, then u can also counter sue her back or have a legal statement to protect you ass.

of course is just my point of view, make it kia sue kia si (in case sua sua no justice)... hahaha....

6th - i dont know, i believed it depend on situation... if the guy jus being call up for interview / investigation, maybe warning or jail term can b appiled to the gal, however if the guy was being throw inside a lock for few days, charge in court etc n later found out the gal make false report n the guy r innocent, i think jail term is definate.. i got a friend, not in rape molest offence but for others, he was being help in lock up for almost 48hrs, end out it proven that the other party make false claim, the other part get a jail term from it. so if found out that the WL make a false report after fail to extortion $ from u, i believed, the minimum is a jail term for her ba.... cause to accused someone rape she put someone going a real mess n causing all sort of troubles.. so a jail term for her is jus fair.
