Out of curiosity. For those that engage RMs, what is the perceived advantage ?

I've always thought that if you are financially savvy, most investments can be available to you at your finger tips in this Internet age. It'll be a fraction, one outta 20th the cost that you pay.

Especially with the syt FAs, I'm really not sure how much they know even if they have a CFA. They're good for stroking my ego but I don't think my ego is that expensive.

It's good that I can get a comprehensive statement from them of my investment but most wouldn't put all their eggs in the same basket. It would be sprad out across a few banks. So I'll still need to do my own book keeping.

Hope the folks here with the means do share on what they like having RMs.

Most RMs at mass market level are just average....slightly better than the layman...if you are financially savvy...you are probably better off doing it yourself....but at the priority and private level...they can structure non out of the mill products specially for you...
