U can bring, not "cannot bring"... u need to declare if u have 15mil VND cash or more. Seldom check, your friend can buy 4D back in SG

Very noob in the Vietnam scene. I will be heading to HCMC next month. As a first timer is it best I go to CL as it's more convenient? I will only be there for 4 nights so I plan to do more exploring and makan. Most likely chiong only once on 2nd or 3rd day

If Sinkie is 18800 then its a damn goot rate as in Wetnam was 18650 yesterday

This rule have been in place for many years liao & they have not revised the amount at all as 15m was considered a big amount last time due to the low exchange rate. Actually I am quite surprised that your friend was fined only 1m as normally the exceeded amount beyond 15m will be "confiscated" so he can be considered quite lucky liao....
