If u're coming in via Harborbay, there are several shops around that area. Otherwise, there are literally hundreds of shops selling SIM cards within the Nagoya area.

I have a noob question. If I fixed a return ferry timing, can I just show up at the ferry terminal if I decide last minute to catch an earlier ferry back to Singapore?

Thats true, in Batam/jakarta, these PRCs price themselves as if their CB is made of GOLD. Where in Singapore, they are cheap. Supply n demand.

If you want PRCs, stick to where demand is low.

I know if at Batam end, I can just change timing as long as there is seat and there will be no charge.

Iirc, there used to be a $5 charge (maybe during Wavemaster time when they still sail to HBB), is there such a charge note for changing timing?

That one i really cannot explain,i remember asking you to bargain and i do it in a less formal and yet friendly way. Or maybe you just have a hard-to-remember face? Hehehe...and they dont remember you.

I dont fix myself to one type of bargaining technique tho.

During bargaining I always bring out a comparison...and what I did was, "i come to this MP before,the girls gave me xx price" ,"next door MP and xxx MP also give this price" etc etc...or "i 1st time come Batam,my friend tells me 100k hj and 200k fj...",hehehe...the whole conversation is entirely up to your comfortability and character. There are other techniques of course,just find one that best suit you as everyone is different.

I constantly keep them on their toes in my every trip but they do at times have the tendency to chop my friends when I am not around.

Let me repeat again,most taxi drivers in batam were some of the least reliable people in Batam.

I hope you didnt mean i am hiding something,becos nothing was really being hidden in anyway except the part that i dont elaborate on my key findings. Every secret joint or good places (even the better girls) i been to were all written on my summaries and guides,you just have to read them and try to understand. Cannot understand? Read them again. Go to Batam to dwell in those potential places i have been to,spent some money and time on them,dirty my hands a bit ,preferably with a small group of friends who are also willing to dirtied their hands a little.

Hehehe...however i am contended that i am still able to help in some basic ways (example, my Batam beginner walkthrough guide.

But they 1st have to learn how/where to "fish" in a different water. Every men has a "Rod" and he may even be very good with it but not every rod is suitable for every water. Eg, a "Rod" suitable to catch fishes in "China Sea" may not be suitable to catch fishes in Barelang.

Actually, there's isn't really much secrets in catching ask these gems. Three places that I got my very good bookings, everyone know the places. The six joints at Utama area, the 2 joints near Hana Hotel etc are joints that everyone (out most here) know about. It's how you are willing to spend time to build relationship with the papis & mamis that enables you to dig out the gems. These are the sort of things that can't be taught easily.

I'm an IT person, ie I prefer to deal with ONEs any ZEROs than human. And if I can learn all these, I'm sure most of you Casanovas out here can. Try not to target going to 8/9/10 joints reach day. Target 4-5 max. Then you get to spend more time each joints. Afterall, if you are newbie (or not seasoned cheongster) in Batam, the more joints you go, the more you're going to be overwhelmed by the choices.

Now, most days, when I'm there, I only go 2-3 joints and I get my girl. And if you look at my profile pic, those are the type that I go for. Delicious right?
