I'd suggest a Google search for all the Hong Kong hotel booking sites; there are quite a few and also a vast difference in prices. Quite stark differences too.

Also, the Hong Kong hotel scene is quite quirky with prices zooming up sharply when rooms gets filled up like during the GD Trade fairs, PRC holidays, some local conventions/fairs etc and its best to book early to secure your best deal.

Just a suggestion

Mongkok is the district, sort of unofficially sanctioned by the powers-that-be, to be where more sexual activities are allowed in Hong Kong.

But its not like Geylang simply because of how crowded the area is and that all the buildings are multistoreyed. Also, the advent of Langham Place/hotel in the area a couple years ago had sort of "gentrified" the area a bit.

Portland street is the equivalent of Geylang in its past. Ever since Langham place, an upmarket mall and hotel was built, Portland has been cleaned to some extend. To identify existing brothels, look for lighted yellow sign boards.
