We really needed to win this, losing another final would have been a killer. Like i said above, it was a great 0-0, and could easily have gone either way; but we won, and that is all that *********** counts!! I know it is just the League Cup but it’s different when your team wins it, isn’t it

Thought Diaz was class last night. Noticed he is a fan of the "look one way, pass the other". Cheeky! He already looks great: I'm sure after a full pre season and knowing the lads a bit more he will be immense.

Kelleher returned Klopp's trust big time, played a really good game and capped it off with a smashing pen! Well done, lad. You did yourself proud.

On to big Virg, loved how he stared at Kepa after taking his pen, like "do you know who the **** I am?" That was brilliant! Tbh though, don't think he was motm. If i am being honest, would have given it to Mendy (although he did not play out the entire game) followed by Diaz and Kelleher. Tuchel made a mistake replacing Mendy for Kepa at the pen stage. Not only because of Mendy's motm performance but also because Mendy had already just won a final at the AFCON on pens.

As for Fabinho's pen, got to love his panenka! Compare that to Kepa's pen, thought he was taking a goal kick instead

Big thank you to Taki for helping us get to this Final and also shout outs to the youth team lads too. Tyler Morton, Conor Bradley, Harvey Blair, Owen Beck, Kaide Gordon off the top of my head. All played their part in this cup run.

Also hope Thiago is okay. Really felt for him when he suddenly got injured during the warm up. Great player but so fragile Said this before and i shall say it again, if we are to push on for the two big trophies, we really need Thiago to be fit in the upcoming important games, so fingers crossed.

A few words on Chelsea. Already talked about Tuchel's mistake of taking off Mendy. Think Havertz is really good in the Firmino role for Chelsea, and I'm not quite sure why Tuchel tried to replace him with Lukaku? Also would take Kovacic to Liverpool in a heartbeat.

Finally, congratulations to Jurgen, a domestic cup at last! He was taking it all in at the end and I'm so so pleased for him. What a man! We are very lucky to have him!!

Oxlade-Chamberlain look glum as he sat on the bench. Thiago injury gave a chance for Harvey to be included. Loads of VARs intervention on the ‘goals’. Origi, Milner did well after coming on. Hope for more trophies to come. Fabinho penalty was great. Kelleher was composed throughout. Good squad depth.

Not easy to satisfy all the players. I am sure all wants to be first 11 to start. It is the squad that will win silverware. Ox had stepped up during the AFCON but still down in the pecking order.

On the quadruple, tbh its a very tough ask. Like what Klopp said at the pre-match presser yesterday ahead of tonight's FA Cup tie against Norwich, if a great team like City has thus far not been able to do it, that says a lot. Same goes for United at its very best under Fergie. Not forgetting the great Liverpool teams in the late 70s & 80s. Think luck plays an important part as well, especially with regards to injuries to key players, refereeing decisions and more easy cup tie draws. Best to take it one game at time and see what happens at the end of the season

Coincidentally, talking about refereeing decisions, seems like PL referee chief Mike Riley has just apologised to Frank Lampard and Everton for the PL referees error in not awarding a penalty to Everton for Rodri's handball incident during the Everton v City PL game last Saturday. Perhaps Mike Riley should be apologising to Liverpool as well, since we too are feeling the impact of this refereeing error

You're welcome bro escobar, my good friend for my congratulatory msg on yr team Pool winning the Carabao Cup ...to be fair, we hv to give credit where credit is due nor matter which side or boat we r in ...just to touch on 2 main points which u mentioned

Yes, i agree with u bro that the quadruple is not easy for any team to achieve...like u said it requires luck, favourable refereeing decisions, pairing to a easy team to play against, plus a lot of sweat, toil n perseverance in order to win it..so far no teams hv been able to win them all...n as u pointed out strong teams like City under Pep n the great MU teams of Fergie's time did not manage to achieve it...so for this season none of yr closest rivals will be able to achieve it for sure as they hv all been knocked out of the Carabao Cup which is now won by yr team...but for yr team Pool this is a dream still possible at this moment but of course it requires of the team a lot of discipline, consistency, physical endurance n a mentality to win each n every of the remaining games even when the team is not playing well on the night...yes, of course the best way to win the cup eventually is to focus to play each game well one at a time

Regarding this year's refereeing, yes, agree with u too that the std has dropped a lot...Mike Riley shd be doing a lot of apologizing not only to Lampard's Everton for not giving them a penalty n causing them to lose their match n tgt with it 3 points which in their case means a lot to them as they r fighting against relegation but also to yr team n even to MU, the team i support n i guess to many other teams as well...the VAR which is supposed to be accurate to determine any controversies, sometimes causes even more controversies by the decision they make n when they r still in doubt n r unable to make a decision, pass the buck n responsibility back to the referee on the field...sigh
