Only 8 teams have ever done a clean sweep of the group. However, 3 of these 8 teams are doing it in this very season. Bayern, Ajax and us. This season's CL is extra difficult. Bayern can always rest and rotate their players as the Bundesliga is not as competitive as the Premier League.

If Inter is deemed a handful then we've got no business winning the CL.

Think Chelsea, B Munich, City and R Madrid are handfuls to play against and the ones to avoid for as long as possible this season.

The last time we won it we had to play B Munich and Barca on our way and for that got an easier final, so y'know there's a silver lining to knocking out the better teams earlier.

Tbh none of the Italian teams are a worry this season. Not saying that it is going to be a walk in the park against Inter but overall think we should have too much for them to handle over two legs.

Also Inter's best player, Barella will not be available for at least the first game because he was red carded for punching R Madrid's Militao in their last CL group stage match. Big loss for Inter i should think.

Oh yeah, Barca fans still waiting for their name to be called in the CL draw...could not resist putting that in

If cannot win in last 16 better get out early and concentrate on PL.

Inter are a pretty good team and definitely much better than the other three teams I named above.

That said, Inter can be neutralized by high pressing and early recovery of the ball, but then I would like to see double the amount of shots taken, compared to what we see we nowadays. There is no real way to play through that defence (with the lowest amount of goals conceded in the entire Serie A).

As an aside, last night's PL result at the Etihad was a bummer. Bielsa sticking to his 4-1-4-1 formation without Kalvin Phillips was pure madness and got the pasting he deserved. City now not only 4 points ahead but also pulled back their GD to within two of ours

I think we will go for 3 points and not a high scoring game on Thursday. Klopp will want to manage the minutes as we head into the busiest part of the season.
