Fingers crossed. Anyway Salah is lucky that Man City screwed up Harry Kane's brain. He is not likely to be competing with Salah for Golden Boot this year.

Tough to make all players happy. Gomes now dropped from CB pecking order after Matip and Konate. Nat Philips will also be tough to feature except Cup matches.

What a difference a year ago.

He can be back up for TAA too. Neco Williams is still raw. So glad our back up left back is beginning to look Premier League class. Tsimikas is like a British bulldog at times. Determined and awesome crossing from his left foot

Klopp needs to rotate among his defenders.. Actually can play Gomez as RB occasionally n put Taa in midfield... Players naturally will get frustrated sitting on the bench every week, same goes for Taki..

It's the Albert Riera problem again. Riera wanted to play more to qualify for the Spanish World Cup team. Unfortunately, Rafa didn't give him enough games. Riera didn't make it to the Spanish squad which went on to win the World Cup in 2010.

Konate is trying to make the French squad too. Matip is steady whenever he is fit. I suspect Gomez isn't getting enough games as he is recovering from a major injury and Liverpool wants to manage his minutes. For a 24 year old, he has quite a few major injuries. He has missed 136 games since signing for Liverpool. That is like 3 full seasons. Here is his injury record;

Gomez was previously injured playing for England, not playing for Liverpool.

If he gets injured again playing for England, then we should sell him. I much prefer Nat Philips as backup.

Klopp and Liverpool only wanted results and not individual feelings. If Konate Matip can partner VVD and get results W W W then why bother about Gomes individual feelings.

Fans only want to see players stepped up and play for results not vice versa.

The same for any players on the bench.

Proud of the lads won 2 - 0 away to Preston. Minamino and Origi scored.

Origi scored a crazy back flick goal.

First team all rested except Matip played first half. Firmino unused sub.

Big news MC knocked out by WH. BM lost 5 - 0 in a cup competition fielding first team.

Did not watch the match but from what I read on the net, seems like an overall average performance , but all OK, youngsters and fringe got plenty of minutes.

And we have one more game to give them another run out in a few weeks.

Youngsters Bradley and Morton apparently played well. Phillips, Neco and Adrian appeared very up for it too. Some of the bits of skill from Curtis were apparently magnificent. Origi and Minamino important with goals again, Divock scoring yet another audacious type of Origi goal

No injuries. All good

Gomes who captain the side kept giving away the balls. Not sure how he can start for PL or CL?

Minamino and Origi needed during AFCON.

Happy to know our academy producing many future starters.
